We don't want Halloween night at Pittsburgh...that would bring back memories of the nightmare we went through in 2004 when a rookie named Roethlisberger tore our defense apart and ended our 21 game winning streak and on top of that I believe Rodney was injured for the rest of the season that same game.

EDIT: You screwed all your dates up after saying Oct 9th which is a saturday

Rodney's injury occurred in September 2005 at Pittsburgh.

He played the entire 2004 season. Don't you remember his INT against the Steelers in the playoffs?

We've played the jets in the first 4 in 8 of the last ten seasons. And I don't think they will open the season with back to back NFC/AFC matchups...

I think if Miami opens with the JETS then we open with Buffalo.

And as for superstitions, 2004 turned out to be a great season even after losing to a rookie on Haloween... We lost Law in that game, not Harrison, and we didn't lose another game until Miami late in the season on the road to winning SB XXXIX.

It's one thing to screw up your dates, it's another to screw up your entire seasons...

I think sometimes like too many here lately he only remembers the bad things that happen here and builds discontent off them...

That's why it's so easy to annoint anyone else a favorite lately...

Yeah...its seems a long time ago....when we had a good defense

Didn't we open with Buffalo last season?

Don't see it two in a row

I could see the Vikings at the Jets and the Patriots at the Dolphins in week 1

All Patriots home games will be at 1 p.m. :singing:

It hasn't been formally announced yet.
(Would that be the announcement of an announcement?)

Last year it was on Tuesday April 19th.
My guess is that it will be on Tuesday April 20th this year.

The hype from the Masters and baseball's opening day will have died down.
Not too many games in any sports on a Tuesday, or to talk about that happened on Monday.

The NFL gets the sports headlines pretty much to themselves for a non-event, as an undercard getting casual fans thinking about the NFL once again leading up to draft weekend.

NFLN said it will be live on thier show this week...if that means anything - I would guess Thursday the week before the draft.

The Only game I know FOR CERTAIN already is Washington at Philadelphia MNF October 25th

I thought we already determined that it is happening today? Today's Sports Center is subtitled "Schedule Release".
