Just ran a 4.24 40.

Devin McCourty with a 4.34.

That is ridiculous. I thought it was a typo on the part of NFLN when it came up on screen. Still cant believe it. And he is at 230lbs.

Looks like we have found the Raiders #1 pick.

Raiders will do something stupid and move him to LB.

Just want to get this in - Corrnelius Brown. The kid is a Belichick cornerback.

Unbelievable feet and hips. Can turn on a dime.

What would be wrong with that? He's a great hitter and could be amazing at the LBer position.

But, yeah, faster than I expected.

He'd be amazing at a position he's never played?

He's going to be the fastest guy on the field in most games, why waste him playing so close to the line. He's an excellent hitter, but he's not the greatest tackler, something that is key to being a LB. Don't get me wrong, I'd blitz the **** out of him with that speed, but I'd still keep him at safety.

A Safety who tackles like crap is right up there with an O-lineman who can't block, at least at LB he'd have a true Safety to cover for him.

with that time he just made him self a lock for the first round and maybe even the top 15.

Mays follows it up with a 4.34.

Mays should go to Tampa Bay at #3 if he continues to impress,He just vaulted up the ladder big time.

Right. Not to mention that his coverage skills are mediocre for a safety, but quite good for linebacker. I imagine he could blitz like nobody else, and we know he can run down running plays from the backside. Good weakside guy in a 43, with some time.

I'm sure when the official times come in, he'll be about a 4.45 or so. That really wouldn't surprise anybody - his athleticism has never been in question. His football abilities and instincts very much are.

The official time turns out to be a 4.43. Pretty significant increase, but publicity is publicity.

Sure he moved up but he's not a very good PLAYER and isn't even in the discussion for the #3 pick overall.

He solidified himself as a first round pick just hope its not us right now.
Edit: I actually like what Dieon said after Taylor Mays ran, somebody should take a chance on this kid because he has all the physical tools. Doubt its us right now.

I don't want to spend a first round pick on a kid who has all the physical tools. I'd rather spend a first round pick on a kid who's a good football player.

Neither do I but I want a safer pick such as McClain or Haden if he slips enough as opposed to a bigger risk like Dunlap or JPP even though both of those could make a bigger impact over time.

The USC D sucked......

this team was not a typical USC team.

Mays did not stand out for USC.....

what make u think he can do it in NFL?

Football speed and speed w/o pads are two different categories :bricks::bricks::bricks::bricks::bricks::bricks::bricks:

It's not even the pads that are the biggest problem. His stiff hips and lack of instincts make him play slower than he looks in a straight line. And then there's the inability to wrap up and make plays on the ball. Much better athlete than football player right now.
