Offseason trades?

1st and 2nd for top ten pick for Rolando McClain.

If the Pats sign a FA WR (Malcolm Floyd) or 2, then they could still use their 1 and a 2nd round pick to trade up for McClain or another playmaker to their liking, such as Iupati to replace Neal. So many needs makes this offseason the most intriguing in a while. This is the deepest draft in years with so many underclassmen declaring and BB has been stockpiling picks for exactly this reason.

We will replace Neal and we will definitely bring in two or three receivers. But as much as a 3rd receiver mght have helped during the season, this is NOT a running team. Sure, just dial up another Dillon. But we also won Super Bowls with Smith who was a JAG who gets better with each year. The problem with our team was not with our talent on offense, although a couple of better offensive coaches would have helped.

Yes the offense looked terrible against BALT, but our run defense looked worse.

Set the defensive issues aside for a moment.

If you recall, the team was able to run when it needed to back then. Now it can't. Either they beef up the o-line that can move the LoS or they get a RB that can get yards on their own. Their running game was productive for sure both last year and for the most part this year. As you, I do believe that a big part of their issues were playcalling and commitment to the running game- both mentally and physically.

Merriman is a free agent, but an RFA...

Merriman is a risk. He's physically not the same player he was in 2006.

.......Another WR that could potentially be on the block is Dwayne Bowe. I'd assume the Chiefs would probably want a first rounder for him, but maybe we could get him for a 2nd since we gave Pioli Cassel for a 2nd.....

How bout a 1st rounder and o'brien for bowe and weiss.

I got an idea, let's trade down and out of both Rounds 1 and 2 and store up picks for 2012 and pick up some extra 3's this year to stock the team with depth, BB would be all for it...............

In order to beef up the O-Line to become a dominant run blocking unit, we would need to replace Koppen and Light. If Neal retires, then we also need to replace him as well.

We move Vollmer to LT, Mankins stay at LG, and we have a new center, new RG, and Kazcur takes over at RT.

But now this line is potentially a terrible pass blocking line on the right side that will get Brady beat up.

i don't think he will make any trades that will help the team maybe he gets a 3rd round pick for maroney on draft day but i don't think that would help the team
You're kidding? A third round draft pick for Maroney? You personally calling Al Davis?
