Throwback/Pat Patriot Jerseys

I like them both....but the current uniform is better. They can wear the red one every few years.

what about a Blue alternate with the throwback design and Pat helmet???

I like them , for 3 games a year and that is it.. and hopeful this is the new alternate jersey

As it stands right now, Kraft is making a killing on selling two forms of Jerseys.

By going back to the Red, they wouldn't have much of a throwback to sell, as the Flying Elvis isn't nosalgic enough to induce sales.

The entire point of 4 throw back games a year by every team is nothing but driving sales.

It's another gimmick by the NFL to spur on sales... unfortunately, I think the NFL is heading for a collapse like the financial markets as they are pushing profit faster than it should naturally grow... which is going to lead to a big bust someday.

Else we will be looking at 8 throw back games a year, and the invention of a new Jersey in an attempt to keep up with sales, etc... We are starring at a marketing driven league now, so the ridiculousness of the advertising and selling out will only become more and more apparent.

What he said.

As a fan who goes way back with this team, when I see those red shirts and Pat Patriot, I think of 1974 starting out 6-1 and ending up 7-7, 1976 and roughing the passer, rolling to 11-5 in 1978 and having the first home playoff game at that pit down in Foxboro only to have Fairbanks and Sullivan screw it up, blowing two seasons in 1979 and 1980, specifically losing to a sh!t Doofins team on the Monday night John Lennon was shot and blowing the playoffs, a 2-14 season, Mosi fumbling in 1984 vs the Donkos when we were on the verge of winning the game, FINALLY getting past the Doofins and getting to the Super Bowl only to get blown out, Eason starting over Flutie and losing to the Donkos in the playoffs, Rod "I'm proud of my men, 1-15" Rust, Victor Kiam and being just God awful in the early 90's.

When I see the new Uni's, I think of Dynasty, one of the best teams of all time, the team of the decade, three Super Bowl wins and winning season after winning season.

End of story; go with the new uni's and sh!tcan the old one..........................

Don't forget Clive Rush , the new coach, being introduced by Billy Sullivan, getting zapped by the microphone at the press conference. I'll never forget the look on Sullivan's face. The curse of Pat Patriot strikes again.
I wear my old school stuff to mow the lawn, work on the car, wipe out the litter box etc.

Pat Patriot = Curse

Flying Elvis = 3 Trophies

Agree. Like the arrogant grin on Pat Patriot logo. But memories of 7 yards rushing against the Bears in that Super Bowl--give me the blue and silver any day.

Excellent point, they should have been BLUE not RED.

Anyway I hope they burn the old uniforms...

Too many BAD teams.....

Too many BAD MEMORIES!!!

I love the throwbacks which is the uniform I was attracted to to get me as a Pats fan in the 70s

I do like the current style as well but what some here fail to mention is that the BEST and coolest looking jerseys were in the Bledsoe era in the mid 90s where Flying Elvis logo was put on the shoulders and the numbers on the unis were tri colored and numbers were also on the lower part of the sleeves...those were the coolest and best overall to this day IMO

old unis are cool once or twice a year, any more than that and I start having flashbacks to Bob Lobel's Sunday Night show in 1990 and Rod Rust

Didn't know Maroney was playing way back then? :D (just kidding - no flaming please )

when are people going to learn that the throwbacks have nothing to do with the team that is on the field? i hope they do change. they look great.

^^This.^^

Long live Pat Patriot!!

I'd be all for going back to the red/white/blues.

I've always hated the flying elvis logo. I think it's the worst logo in the league BY FAR. Cant stand it.

I wouldnt even mind if we just changed the logo and kept our current uni's. The Flying Elvis is just silly looking.

Not to go against what you're saying in two straight posts. But, I actually like the new logo a lot better, always have. And, have recently been thinking, even said it to a few friends, how cool it would be to see the old jerseys, white helmets and all, with the new logo.

The current Patriots jersey is clearly the best.

I will be glad when the throwbacks are done....I think of the current jersey and I think of a team with confidence that can march down the field...

I like the Pat Patriot jerseys, but not enough to see them be a permanent change, I'd like to see us wear them once or twice a year, like SD does with their powder blues. Perhaps on Sunday and Monday nights. I like them a lot better than those ugly silver alternates we've had in the past.

Blue Uni's. new logo

Best looking jersey in the NFL. the throwbacks are nice for nostalgia once in a while but I would never buy one. I do have a #12 in blue though.

Big Vince taking the field in his white throwbacks.

the sd powder blues are the permanent uniform for the chargers. have been for over a year now.

That would be a good idea, but as a third jersey. I quite like the blue jersey as it is.
