We know, for starters, that last night's throwback was not designed to be the same as the one we saw in 2002 (the 1980s version). It was designed more like the 1963 one, the white version of which was used for the NFL's 75th anniversary in 1994 (the Pats will also use a white version at some point this season). But the pants on this version have mysteriously been changing ever since it was first shown back in the spring.

Note the tight stripes on the pants and the order of colors from April.

Now look at what the Pats used in practice last week, including the blue belt, separated stripes w/ blue on the outside.

Now check out what was worn last night. The colors on the pant stripes were reversed and white, not blue, belts were worn.

Does anyone have any color photos of what the Pats actually wore in 1963?

Notice the difference in the pants stripes even there, though.

As long as Pat was on the helmet I don't care. Uniform designs came and went, but Pat was the constant (ok, nearly constant) we could depend on.
