I really though this guy could be valuable to us with Vrables departure but I guess he will take a home town discount and play for the Lions who now have a pretty good LB core but how will he fit into a 4-3??

Fit? Don't know.

BUT.. the Lions need some toughness even if it's forcing a square peg into a round hole. Foote could help usher in a new attitude.

I don't see any era usherring coming from Foote's 1 year contract. More like I'm going to play my *ss off this year and be a bright spot on this otherwise dark team and then hope to get another multi-year contract from a contender next year...
