Yes, the decade isn't over, but since we've been put into all-decade mood, we might as well make our picks as to who are the leading candidates to make the 2000s team.

I tried this earlier today and bearing in mind I was only young in the Superbowl years, i'm not sure on a few positions.

I'll quote it so it takes up less space:
QB: Cassel..... ;) Brady.
RB: Faulk
WR: Moss, Brown, Branch, Welker
TE: Graham (Is there anyone that could come in here instead)
OL: Light, Mankins, Koppen, Neal, Kaczur (I cant seperate the 07 line despite other players who could have made it)

D-Line: Seymour, Wilfork, Warren
OLB: Vrabel, McGinest
ILB: Bruschi, Tough decision here. Do I go youth with Mayo, or Ted Johnson/Phifer?
CB: Law, Samuel
S: Harrison, Milloy

K: Vinatieri
P: Walter
LS: Paxton

Coach: Belichick
OC: Weis
DC: Romeo
Owner: Robert Kraft:)
I have a bad feeling I missed an obvious one, so let me know.

I would also play 4WR/1RB, so no need for TE :D ;)

I don't think it's SS and FS, just two S. I would pick Milloy and Rodney.

i don't understand what the criteria is. How can Cassel be on any list? I love Welker but how can i place him above Troy right now?

Branch was a little prick but he left here with two rings and one of Tommy Boy's superbowl MVP awards...

I love Welker and Moss but they haven't won anything...yet...

Neither has Kaczur or Mankins...or AD or Merriweather...:ugh:

I swear it's like some folks here started watching after the third Lombardi...

Offense
OT: Matt Light, Nick Kaczur
G: Joe Andurzzi, Logan Mankins
C: Dan Koppen
TE: Daniel Graham
WR: Randy Moss, Deion Branch
QB: Tom Brady
RB: Antowain Smith, Kevin Faulk

Defense:
DE: Richard Seymour, Ty Warren
DT: Vince Wilfork
OLB: Mike Vrabel, Willie McGinest
ILB: Tedy Bruschi, Roman Phifer
CB: Ty Law, Asante Samuel
S: Rodney Harrison, Lawyer Milloy

K: Adam Vinatieri
P: Ken Walter
Returner: Troy Brown
Special Teams: Larry Izzo
Coach: Bill Belichick

Toughest calls were:

-Choosing an RT, since 3 different guys were starters for the Super Bowl winning teams, and none of them really had the longevity that Kaczur has

-Making the call between Roman Phifer and Ted Johnson, but I picked Phifer because Johnson made the Pats All-90's team and figured I'd spread the love

-Branch over Welker for WR, picked Branch since he has two Super Bowl rings and was an MVP

-Antowain Smith over Corey Dillon (no way Faulk didn't make this team), but I picked Smith since Dillon really only had that one great year (but what a great year it was!) and is more known as a Bengal than a Pat.

-Ty Warren over Bobby Hamilton

-Punter, since no one really stood out over the long term

AND

-Not finding a place for Lonie Paxton on this team.

Troy Brown has the most receptions in patriot HISTORY and he has 3 rings
he was also one of the most underated players in NFL history and obviously still is.

Yeah, I felt bad about putting him in as the returner...but it was the only way I could squeeze the maximum amount of players in. Otherwise, I suppose you could go Brown and Moss as the WR's with Welker as the returner? I mean, no way Brown isn't on the team.
