John Harbaugh guaranteed a Pats win

Just saw him on the NFL Network and he said that everyone knows the Pats are going to win this weekend and a reporter asked him if he called it his lock of the week and he said yes.

Funny, I don't think I have ever seen a head coach guarantee another team winning a game. Granted it is a motivational ploy to get his team to play hard next weekend, but it was strange.

Ravens head coach. His opinion is meaningless. All that matters is that we actually do win. I could care less who gives what guarantee.

It sounds to me like he's trying to fire up the Bills. It's to the Ravens' advantage to have a rival eliminated by kickoff...

I actually don't think he's trying to fire up the bills. I think he's trying to remind his team....you can't back your way into the playoffs. New England isn't losing. You (the ravens) must handle your own business against jacksonville.

This is certainly his primary goal because he's got to keep his team motivated after a big, emotional win against Dallas. If it happens to motivate the Bills, well all the better for him, right?

If the Bills win his team makes the playoffs even if the Ravens lose.

So......

1. he has incentive to want the Bills motivated.

2. he wants his team ready to play and not counting on backing in with a Bills win.

If the Bills were that distraught from the 56-10 score from last year, wouldn't that have manifested itself in the first meeting with the Patriots (which the Bills lost). Not seeing how relevant is last year's 56-10 game is when looking at their second meeting for this year.

yeah.....Roger "Jets" Goodell would have a field day.....fine him and the team another 3/4 million and ban us from the playoff's this year.
