Troy Brown Equals Pure Class

I wish we could clone 53 Troy Browns...the league was better for having him and it's just a little worse without him. It's like the end of an era, and his contributions are just too numerous to list. I kept hoping predictions were wrong and that he'd instead be announcing his new position as ...Something...but not to be.

Thank You Troy, for everything. You're part of who this team is, and jmo but I can't think of anyone worthy of wearing #80. Same with 54 and 12, which is outstanding company to be in.

Mr. BINGO

> Reiss has some excerpts from Troy's speech as well as BB's. GREAT stuff if anyone missed it: Patriots blog - Reiss' Pieces - Boston.com
"The only colors you'll ever see on my back are the red, white and blue of the New England Patriots. I'm proud to say it," he said, as his eyes moistened with a few tears.

> Too funny-as we know Troy turned down an offer to play for the Jests, so how fitting 'Troy Brown Night' will be held during the Jets game on Nov 13

Coming to Gillette Stadium as an all purpose WR in 10 years from now

May I introduce SIMON BROWN!!!

Little guy looks ready to go - Probably is about 10 years old now so we can wait

Troy really does epitomize everything that this team has been in this decade. It is sad to see him finally hang it up.

It is also sad that on the day one of the greatest Patriots ever hangs it up, this board no longer seems to care. Too busy arguing about who is the better fan and Matt Cassel.

Truth.

10chas

Troy Brown became my favorite Patriot after the Patriots refused to match the offer letter the Jets gave to Curtis Martin. We were privileged to watch him as he wore the red, white and blue of the Patriots for all those years.

With all the great WRs on team I always wanted to see Troy line with Moss, Welker and the rest. I missed see his number over tha past two years. I will really miss it now more than ever. Troy Brown is one the greats. I with any luck in five years Troy will be in the Hall Of Fame. THANK YOU TROY and good luck

simply : GRAZIE TROY BROWN ! one of the greatest NE Patriot players

thanks for what you have done for the franchise and for us: the Pats Fans

all the best ! thanks !

Can someone post the Audio when it becomes available?

Go to Patriots.com, they have the video there, I just watched it. You could hear a child crying, I wonder if it was one of Troy's since he was getting kinda emotional.

....man, with that ends the book on one of the greatest playing careers in the NFL.

I miss and am gonna miss watchin Troy play.

What an athlete, what a man....

Troy Brown is truly the man! Ive never been one to idiolize these guys much, even though obviously the 'Francis' tag may be a small giveaway. But TB is a guy we're all better for having seen and 'known'. As a player at least, that guy's really gonna be missed.

I just wanted to pop in to say "Thank You!" to Troy. One of my favorites, one of the classiest and the epitome of a team player.

And what a commercial acting talent!

Gotta give a shotout and a Thanks, Troy. You'll always be one of my favorite Patriots, without a doubt.

I want to echo the sentiment to thank Troy Brown for his wonderful career. The was the heart and soul of the Pats for a number of years and epitomized what the Patriot Way was all about.

Thanks Troy for being a great Patriot.

I want to thank Troy Brown for his great career, and the way he represented PATRIOTS.

He is a true Patriot. We miss him on Field.

ALL THE BEST TROY!! Good Luck.

Troy Brown, my all time favorite Patriot just ahead of Ben Coates......

The memories Troy:

The Pittsburgh punt return in 02 in the AFCCG, the look on Cowher's face afterwards, you could hear a pin drop in Heinz Stadium, I smashed my coffee table rolling around on the living room carpet, I'm surprised no one on my street called the cops.

The FG block and subsequent pickup and coolness to lateral it right before he was tackled to Antwan Harris for 6 and again, shocked the cops weren't called during that play, I was probably heard from miles away.

The Pittsburgh fans and team will never forget Troy Brown, neither will we.

My favorite player of all time. In general, I root for the laundry and rarely get sentimental about the players once they leave. Not Troy.

I'm not sure there's a player who more epitomizes what I love about this franchise than Troy Brown.
