Better the injury now than later

I was just giving this some thought. If this injury had to happen at some point in the season, then first quarter of game one might actually be the best possible time. It gives Cassel a whole 16 games to mature, so he will be in the best shape possible for the playoffs if the Pats get that far.

So at least the timing is a bright side, I think.

Plus it won't screw up most of next season too with the recovery.
