I have to say that I am extremely surprised by his comments.
I thought that he would be ready to chop the Patriots into a million pieces.

This has nothing to do with his like or dislike for the Patriots and everything to do with the NFL universally agreeing that continued discussion of this tired subject brings nothing good to the league or any team in it.

Nah, the committee's goal was to *****slap BB. They are finding out that was a fairly shortsighted goal. They want this to go away now, at least from a congressional standpoint. The potential for collateral damage has begun to sink in.

LOL, yeah, I bet he's satisfied. The Patriots lost a 1st round pick for something that Polian considers legal. If he didn't consider it legal, he would have never approved the hiring of Howard Mudd, the dean of illegal videotaping.

He's being gracious since the Pats ended up 18-1 without a title. It's like he's laughing inside, thinking "These poor bastards choked away history, so I'll cut the poor saps some slack and lay off the spygate thing."

    Regards,
    Chris

If all big shots in NFL teams say that it is time to move on, the spygate is death and everybody is happy. It doesn't do anybody any good if it is still floating around because every NFL team will be punished equally in the end.

seems to me the NFL is preparing to come out with something....

which will be along the lines of letting the pats off the hook (and following suit, about half a year late)

Not death until the biggest loser Goodell says it is and he is still negotiating with Walsh.

Oh by the way his ineptness to end this issue is crazy.

It took im like one day to punish us in sept. but then he didn't stay ontop of the thing and just let rumors and stuff fly. Than 3 weeks ago it props back up what is taking him so long this time.

And I guess we can read the counter nonsense on the colts boards. The managment of the patriots and the colts are the best in football and work together on almost all NFL efforts. There is nothing but mutual respect between the ownerships and the players. There is not one set of players who respects the patriots more those of the colts. I would go so far as to say there is more respect of our deense from colts players than from many patriot fans.

It is patriot and colt fans who constantly post opposing trash talk, which is fine. All take such posts for all they're worth.

You misunderstood Goodell. What will you say if i tell you that Goodell wants to end this thing as soon as possible.? I want you to look at the few things here.

Goodell knew about Walsh last year but why did he wait to say something about it on 07 SB day.? Because he had no choice. If Specter did not speak up and media did not leak this information on SB days, Goodell would let this issue go away. You see my point.?

Goodell tries to do his job. Hopefully, he can finish it after receiving supports from other big shots in NFL today. It certainly makes his job easier.

I predicted that spygate would be death by the end of this month. Let see if i was correct.

It's in NaPolian's and the Colts' best interests for Spygate to go away. Remember this?

    http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007...rd-mudd-was-the-best-in-the-entire-league-at/

The last thing NaPolian wants is a league-wide investigation into this widespread practice.

Given Bill Polian's quote one has to ask ,"What does Bill Poian have to hide?" I am not accusing The Colts of anything but this question must be asked.

Let's face it, the last thing any NFL team owner wants and Goodell is a congressional hearing by a bunch of bored republicans who can't even pronounce players names or know anything about the sport. The gong show they created last week with Clemens and MLB is very bad for the sport.
