Whose roster spot does Jeff Demps take?

Re: Who's roster spot does Demps take?

IR is a lost year. He cannot practice. The thinking that we would take a guy who could help, even from the ps, and make up an injury for IR because he would get picked up by someone else is nuts. There was one case where we may have done that but it was a QB who wasn't going to play anywhere for anyone that season.
Aside from the poor judgment regarding developing the player that would be, no player that could play for another team is going to accept IR and sitting on his butt all year instead.

Not sure what hair across the ass is about but I was clear that it wouldn't be the best case scenario and preferred PS if they could get him through waivers, which I also said was likely. Dennard was hurt during the spring and that coupled with legal issues still pending caused him to drop, taking a flyer on him for the long term, as they did with Tate a couple of years ago wouldn't be completely out of the ordinary for the Patriots, especially wince he could still be facing suspension during this season. I would rather see them release him and take him back on the PS but IR still retains his rights, and there may nnot be room on this roster for him.

I could see him pull a hamstring while trying to do the testing..

On a side note, does anyone know what he ran for his leg of the 4x100 during the 2nd qualifier since he replaced Mike Rogers, who broke his foot, yet STILL managed to finish his leg and help the US to qualify.

Here are his progressions over the years on the 100m´(looks like he's stalled the last years, so he might have reached his full potential as track star):

2012 10.10 1.4 Eugene, OR 24/06/2012
2011 10.04 0.7 Eugene, OR 23/06/2011
2010 10.06 1.3 Greensboro, NC 28/05/2010
2010 10.06 1.3 Knoxville, TN 16/05/2010
2009 10.30 1.3 Gainesville, FL 16/05/2009
2008 10.01 1.6 Eugene, OR 28/06/2008
2007 10.25 1.6 Knoxville, TN 01/08/2007

From this vid here (only one I found) it looks like he's passing the first marker (where you can start passing the baton) at a high 9.3 (guessing 9.38): it's the yellow marker you can see after 0:16 positioned after 90m from the start.
The baton passes immediately after that and is leaving his hand at a high 9.6, it's difficult to say how much after the first yellow market it is...I'm guessing 93/94m.
Demps and the next runner pass the 100m marker (the small white line at 0:18) at around 10.4; but he's not at full speed anymore; in the end that might be in line with his time and should be around 10.1, 10.2 for the full 100m.

Viewed the Finals from the US Olympic trials final. He finished 7th of the 8 runners, about 3m back from T Gay (9.8 who ran a personal best, he was even with Gay for the first half of the race then Gay pulled away, He may have eased up a bit when he saw he wasn't going to be in the top 3.

yeah...bring back Fanoony fast...we gotta help the Pats save THEIR money and we need to tell them how to spend it...dump Demps because...well...he's causing too much noise...he's a distraction...in fact..I think I'll put up a thread...Can The Patriots Survive The Demps Distraction?

We don't need no stinkin' fullback!

Issue resolved; close thread! ;)
