It's easy, and only takes a few moments. No need to be so condescending just because you disagree with me, which I assume you do because my post was clear enough. I think all of the players I mentioned had a bad game against the Eagles and are fairly high on the depth chart, giving them each a good chance at the 53 roster come September.
Define highly on the depth chart.
Because one of either Gregory or Wilson will be gone. With the little I saw i'd saw Harmon is a better option than either. At least he seemed to be for the most part in the right place and making hits on receivers at the right time and not after they've already caught and secured the ball.
Ryan is a rookie who will be the 4th or 5th CB on the depth chart. That with more time in the system will get better.
Who do you have in mind that would replace Gostkowski?
Cole if he makes the roster will be an emergency CB. Hell if Justin Green can contribute as well as Cole on special teams he'd make the roster over Cole.
And Tebow just sucks and really shouldn't make this team, although i'm guessing he probably will. Which I think is idiotic and his roster spot could be better used for another CB or DT.
This is supposed to be good news?
BTW, I would think that Dobson was considered worth the pick at the time, even we had our own favorites.
Cole if he makes the roster will be an emergency CB. Hell if Justin Green can contribute as well as Cole on special teams he'd make the roster over Cole.

Tebow: third QB, plenty of teams carry three quarterbacks so he could easily make the team.
Ryan: lock as a third round rookie.
Cole: possibly the guy who makes the team if Dowling doesn't, possibly even if he does.
Gregory: one of the top safeties on the depth chart.
T. Wilson: second round pick last year who performed too well last year to give up on him because of a bad preseason.
Gostkowski: the only kicker on the roster.
Whether or not you think these players had a bad game is just your opinion.
I vote for Logan Ryan.
I watched #26 each play he was in there. He made one decent tackle, but for the life of me, I have no idea what he is doing as a 3rd round draft pick of the Patriots. Can someone please tell me what Belichick saw in this guy? (other than his alma mater).
Tim Tebow.
No chance. I'm rewatching the game right now and Cole is playing markedly better than Green.
I wasn't expressing confusion with your writing, but rather incredulity at your argument. I don't know why the team would/should feel bad at the prospect of core special teamers/depth/rookies making the final 53. Makes no sense at all.
Clearly you missed my point.
Hell if Justin Green can contribute as well as Cole on special teams he'd make the roster over Cole.
Oh, so you just took my last sentence far too literally.
I would like to see how Logan Ryan performs with our Starters before I cast judgement. Atleast he's not a waste of space like Glass-I Dowling.
Never said it was good or bad, just that it was. :confused2:
By most accounts, there were a number of WRs available who were rated over Dobson.
I disagree, but I know the delusional Draftniks liked a couple of unreformed Jailbirds, and a couple of smurfs, better. But we don't need any more of them. The quota is full up.
Belichick would rather have low maintenance, team captains, and Eagle scouts if you don't mind... and even if they do.
Can someone please tell me what Belichick saw in this guy?
3. Tavon Wilson
2. Steve Gregory
1. Tim Tebow
Quite concerning that 2 of the 3 are DBs that are probably up towards the top of the depth chart, Logan Ryan & Maquice Cole just miss out on making the list.
I thought Cole was one of the better defensive players for the Patriots on Friday night. He was sharp, always in position and made a couple perfect reach around slap downs.
