We MAY not draft a LB in the 1st round as BB like veterans. What LB's will be out there for us to look at from other teams?
    Anyone you like?
    thanks

Karlos Dansby from Arizona is a UFA. He'll likely command a healthy salary. Lance Briggs will be a UFA again too...

    #54 Jersey

This a list from earlier in the year, not a whole lot to get excited about.

After thinking about for 10 seconds here is my latest 'genius' strategy...Lets call it 'The pipe dream'

    Baltimore franchises Suggs
Patriots trade #2 pick to Baltimore for Suggs and their #1 (approx. #9)
Bruschi comes back one more year

    Patriots draft first few rounds
    #9) CB -Jenkins, Ohio State
#63) CB - WIlliams, Soth Florida
#70 from Oak.) WR - Nelson, Kansas
#95) ILB - Moffitt, South Florida

    2008 LBs
    - Rotation at OLB between Colvin, Vrabel and Suggs
    - Thomas takes majority of snaps at ILB with Bruschi and Moffitt rotating
    OLB - Colvin, Woods
    ILB - Bruschi, Moffit
    ILB - Thomas, Alexander, Lua
    OLB - Vrabel, Suggs

    2009 LBS
    - Crowder Miami is signed as a FA

    OLB - Suggs, Woods
    ILB - Moffit, Alexander
ILB - Thomas, Lua, 2008 Day 2 draft pick
OLB - Vrabel, 2008 Day 1 draft pick

I think there is certainly a young LB that will fit the system here...maybe NOT someone with a whole lot of ink..but someone that CoachB has watched and think will be a solid player...we also do NOT know what their thoughts are on Alexander and Lua which could impact the situation.
Among the players FAs...are Hobson, Dansby, Pace or Chillar or Koutouvides...or??? Maybe someone even lesser known.
I do think Bruschi may play another year..more in a dwindling role..to help the young ones take over..in transition..
Funny that there hasn't been a Ted Johnson replacement..as so many relally under valued all he did. Maybe a real run plugger can be found.
