I don't know if we really know who the Jets are at this point. Through five games they're 4-1, but the 'best' team they've beaten is Indy during the early stretch where Luck was horrific. The Browns are league average at absolute best, they caught the Phins at the perfect implosion time, and they lost to the Eagles. Revis seems like he's being torched for a TD at least once a week. Fitzpatrick hasn't had to face a single good defense, Philly's is the best (statistically) of the bunch and they held the Jets to 7 points in the first half in building a 24-7 lead; Fitzpatrick threw 3 INT's.
I'm not saying they're not a quality opponent, because they are. That D-line is fearsome, Ivory and Marshall present tough, tough matchups for the Pats and they're a well coached team. What I am saying is that it's hard to make sense of this Jets team, so it'll be mighty interesting to see how the game plays out. Do we seriously have to consider the NYJ a threat to the division this season, or will they be exposed as a mediocre team taking advantage of a soft early schedule? Time will tell...
