I agree that the Jags are a very tough matchup, probably the toughest we might face in our first playoff game.

They have a dual-back running game the Pats would have to focus on. But if they do so, David Garrard has the ability to pick us apart.

In certain ways Garrard has had a better year than Brady. Only 16 TDs, but only TWO interceptions. As amazing as it is that Brady has only thrown 6 INTs with 45 TDs, Garrard's ratio is BETTER. You can't count on Garrad making mistakes.

If the weather is bad then the advantage would swing to Jacksonville. I still believe we would win but might be a very tough game.

Didn't everyone say that Pittsburgh had all the parts to beat New England?

Exactly. I think there might have been a guarantee or two.

Laughable. Pats teams inferior to this one have absolutely owned the Jaguars in recent years.

Even if they do have the talent to win, I'm sure Del Rio will find a way to screw it up.

The Jags are a really tough matchup because they're a really good team. I would prefer to face as few 12 win teams as possible.

Jeremy Green is usually pretty rational. Hope this doesn't mean he has succumbed to the ESPN NFL culture.

    Their secondary is weak.

And Manning knows this and thats why they cannot beat the Colts. Now if they face the Pats in bad weather who knows.

Well, if we are going by ratio, I would disagree with you on who the best QB is. Todd Collins of washington.
    http://www.nfl.com/players/toddcollins/profile?id=COL694708

2 touchdowns and ZERO interceptions. Boy am I glad we are not facing this guy.

I understand your point, that he doesn't turn the ball over, but you can't count on him to score touchdowns either. He is averaging 1.5 touchdowns a game. Compare that to Brady's 3.2 touchdowns a game.

Garrard has been playing good, mistake free football. Just please, don't compare him to Brady. Before the pats played Indy, Brady had only two interceptions, the same number as Garrard. The only difference was that Brady had 30 touchdowns. In 5 weeks Brady had as many TDs as Garrard has in 11 games this season.

Let's make one thing clear - The Patriots hope to to avoid playing the Jaguars in Postseason..... according to ESPN.com columnist Jeremy Green. I don't have Insider, but I doubt Mr. Green has quotes from moles in Foxboro saying how terrified this 14-0 team is of the Jacksonville f--king Jaguars. As has been stated by others on here, the Jags were supposed to outmuscle us back in the '05 playoffs. Instead the nation was given a horrible mis-match. We stomped the Jaguars. And we stomped them in their own place last season too.

Tom has 196 more passing attempts than Garrard. Thats the equivalent of 5 pass happy games.....

As things look right now I don't see us facing the Jags.

Jags are one game up on both Squeelers and Browns with 1 easy game (oak at home) and one moderately easy left (at Houston) on the schedule. Whichever way the AFCN plays out (and odds are Squeelers get the division) the lower AFCN team is the 6 seed.

So that means Jax goes to either Pitt/SD and Clev goes to the other. Odd as it may seem if Pitt does win the division - I see both home teams in AFC losing in wild card round. SD and Pitt are both looking a little weak. SD not as weak as early on in season but still very beatable.

So that would mean 6 seed (clevland) would come to us and JAX has to beat dolts first before coming to us.

I guess if Cleveland gets AFCN title and beats Pitt then JAX would come to us in Div round. But I just don't see it as likely and if they have played 2 playoff games they will be a bit worn down - and even in top form unless we get a wind storm like against the jets or ravens - they are very beatable by the Pats.

    Actually it is true.

Clip from todays press conference with.

Question: What is your biggest focus this week?

BB: Well we have clinched home field through out and we are playing the Dolphins this week. So not really worried about that game. These guys couldn't even beat the Jets. Get real. We are 14-0, they are 1-13.

Then we have the Giants. They have a good record, but its the Giants they alway have good record at Thanksgiving, but when was the last time they won a game in December? Clearly Eli lost out on the QB skills to his brother.

What I am worried about right now is Jacksonville. Yeah, I know they haven't clinched a playoff spot yet. But they are hot. And if there is one AFC team that might be able to beat us it is them. Heck, they are the only AFC team that is going to be in the playoffs we haven't beaten, so they are the one team that could theoretically beat us.
