Miguel,

Approximately how much cap room will be used up by rookies,

Too early to guess since it is not likely that the Pats will not make any further trades involving draft picks.

Player 52, Player 53, the Practice Squad, replacing a couple of players on IR during camp, and an injury reserve to replace players during the season.

I seem to recall that we used to allocate about $6M for that purpose, but costs have gone up, and we have more high draft choices this year.

I estimate for $3.25 million for "Player 52, Player 53, the Practice Squad, and an injury reserve to replace players during the season."

Seymour will be very difficult to extend. I'm sure he envisions

himself as the best defensive lineman in the NFL and will demand

Haynesworth money.
I would love to see him try to prove that this year as he plays out the last year of his contract. His play has fallen off markedly since his first 3-4 years in the league - and now we will find out how much of that was due to his injuries and how much of it was due to something else.

No Trade - No Free Agency

Since this thread is about the cap: our New England Patriots would be OVER the cap today if Cassel hadn't been traded.
