Thought you might enjoy it. There's a lot of nice prospects besides the obvious (Barrett Jones): Khaled Holmes, Gabe Ikard, Omoregie Uzzie and Swanson all seem like potential Pats-type guys.

Charged with failure to obey a lawful order while standing in line waiting for pizza. Waiting for pizza, for Chrissakes.

Sounds like the cop may be been flaunting his authority just a bit. Good thing it wasn't Alfonzo Dennard - he probably would have beaten the crap out of the cop.

Margus Hunt has already been mocked to the Pats at least once. Personally, I would put Jesse Williams on the list. But it's nice to see a DT listed. I don't know much about Eric Richter, but he's someone to follow. And a guard from TCU.

    Fun list, FWIW.

Mayo and OTG patrolling the secondary...err draft prospects. Reminds one of Rodney Harrison and Ty Law!! Getcha popcorn ready! Gonna be a fun season. I can't believe the Texas arrest story. If I'm the Oklahoma recruiter, I'm bringing a copy of that story to every recruit in Texas I visit this fall.

I'm hoping that Chandler Jones and Jake Bequette will keep the Pats out of the DE market for 2013. But if you're looking for DEs with length and ridiculous movement skills, these guys stand out:

    1. Barkevious Mingo, LSU. 6'5" 245#.

    2. William Gholston, Michigan St. 6'7" 278#.

    3. Margus Hunt, SMU. 6'8" 295#.

See the physical freak article on CBS sports above.

    4. Devin Taylor, South Carolina. 6'7" 260#.

Ditto re the physical freak article.

See post #54 above for the DTs. And see post #108 for a partial gallery of DEs.

As you command. I'm mixing big CBs in with college safeties with movement skills.

    1. David Amerson*, DB, North Carolina St. 6'3" 195#.

    2. TJ McDonald, FS, USC. 6'3" 205#.

    3. Eric Reid*, FS, LSU. 6'2" 208#.

    4. Tyrann Mathieu*, DB, LSU. 5'9" 175#.

    5. Robert Lester, FS, Alabama. 6'2" 210#.

    6. Justin Gilbert*, DB, Oklahoma St. 6' 205#.

Updated 2013 draft eligible QB rankings from Walter Football:

WalterFootball.com: 2013 NFL Draft: Quarterback Rankings

Very conservative. Tyler Bray and Logan Thomas could both give Matt Barkley a run for the #1 QB spot, and likely #1 overall. Here's Wes Bunting's early take on Thomas:

Looks like he tackles like Troy Polamalu; by the head/neck.

I was watching Chandler's brother Jon's fights, and they had his wingspan at 84". That whole family is made for sports. At least its a sure reason why Jon rarely gets a solid hit on him. Nobody can get close enough.

Wingspan translates very well in most sports. In basketball, a guy can be a bit on the short side for a big man, but if he has long arms he more than makes up for it. Or you could be like Yao Ming and be very tall (7'6"), but have arms so short that Nate Robinson can block your shot.

In football it prevents your opponent from contacting your body first, and also allows you to disrupt passes and block the QBs vision.

At this point, it seems like most are predisposed to have Barkley as number one. I'd say he'll have plenty of challengers for the top spot come this time next year.

This could be a really good draft for QBs if guys evolve. Or it could be a season of regret. Either way it could work out for us. Having a bunch of successful QBs warranting first round grades could have multiple teams (Seahawks, Jaguars, Browns, Minnesota, Oakland, etc.) needing replacements at the position. That pushes prospects we need back.

If guys don't progress, then maybe Mallett looks more intriguing to a desperate team.

There are probably others better at this than me. But what I do is:

    1. Find a photo I want to include. You need to get the link to the photo itself (link ends in .jpg or .tiff, or some other image format; NOT a link to a web page with the photo embedded in it).
    2. Copy the link from my browser.
    3. Paste the link into my post.
    4. Denote it as an image by putting "IMG" in front and "/IMG" after the link, both in [].

    Hope that works.
