Nice paper, Kevin! I like to read things like this. First off, I was pleased to see your picture. I wish more fellas 'round here would do that. And next, I was hooked right from the 1st line or two when you opened with your personal situations and why you weren't able to write more over the past months. Again, I'd like to see more writing from other4 fallas 'round here with a more personal touch mixed in with all the good "x's and o's" analysis from the guys who are really in the know about that stuff.
That was a nice summation of the 1st half of the regular season, Kevin. As is with most of us and everyone else around the league, we all tend to go over the last, most recent, game in our minds and with others as "The State Of The New England Patriots". Gez, it's even hard to FEEL this team being 6-2. It just feels more like 5-3 or 4-4.
After reading your article, I FEEL the team being its record.
And thanks for the "keeping it real" juxtaposition against The Rod Rust & **** MacPhereson (sp) era.
On a related note- I wish when The Patriots wear their throwbacks, people wouldn't always go directly back to that short era and say stuff like,"Oh, I hate those uniforms. They always lost in those."
Correction- no they certainly did NOT. As a matter of fact, between the years 1976- 1988 (13 seasons), The Patriots had ELEVEN winning seasons, one 500 record, and only ONE, that's ONE losing season.
Again, thank you for the article, Kevin. I like to read people taking stock in our team at certain moments, like midseason.
