It's easy, and only takes a few moments. If the Jets do target this kid, don't be suprised to see #28 traded to someone like Houston or Washington. They will desperately need 3-4 personnel and that will keep him out of Jetsdom.
I think we should all brace ourselves, because Taylor has New York Jet written all over him.
OTOH, it's entirely possible that the Jets (with no 2nd-rounder now) reach for him, then he ends up having chronic weight/knee problems and they'll have wasted a pick.
I personally don't mind seeing that kind of nastiness from a lineman...not like he was hitting women. With the way big vince jumped around this season I think a nt is a possibility early on, with a defensive line similar to the ravens as a result. Vince/rookie/ty warren sounds good to me, should certainly keep the o line busy and let the lb do there thing relatively unblocked (wouldn't see games like cleveland where they can send a lineman after mayo every play).
He has character issues. Doesn't learn from his own mistakes. After bashing innocent kids' faces in after a home intrusion, he went on probation. That didn't stop him from knocking heads in the student union a few months later after a teammate claimed someone stole his cell phone.
I believe he may have a civil suit pending against him for the first round.
He damaged innocent people. Remember the Kenyatta Jones incident? This would be 10x worse. I don't know if I could ever root for a guy that pulled what Taylor did. ESPN did a story on the incident on Outside the Lines and interviewed multiple witnesses who were there. They basically said he was grabbing people with absolutely no care if they were the person who had offended a teammate (Taylor was actually at the wrong party) and slamming their heads into stone countertops repeatedly. The photos of the kids who were beaten looked worse than Rodney King.
I don't doubt that OTL put together a thorougly riveting expose of a fraternity fight, but (a) who cares? and (b) the charges were dropped.
Not a fraternity fight. The charges weren't dropped. He was convicted.
Home invasion, a whole civil suit pending. Two of the kids were in rehab for more than 6 months. Broken jaws, nerve damage to arms. The kids looked like they were about 5'6 140 pounds.
Glad to hear you're OK with that.
He invaded the wrong apartment and started bludgeoning people.
Unlike others on this board, no part of my enjoyment of watching patriots football derives from any belief that Patriot players are better people than the players on the other teams. Frankly, I don't care if they're a bunch of a**holes. As long as they play well I couldn't care less about their "character". Now if their "character" flaws relate to how hard they will play or how coachable they are, that's different. But that is not this case.
And, as far as I can tell, he pled guilty to a misdemeanor. The felony aggravated assaulted was dropped. So, he has a misdemeanor. Big deal. So what about a civil suit? The kid's going to be in the NFL in a few months and people want to make a cash grab. Filing a civil suit on a contingency basis is the easiest thing in the world to do. You sound very naive.

You're talking about the incident in the campus dining hall. I'm talking about the home invasion/burglarly.
I usually overlook drugs, fights, general a-holeness, but I do have standards. I'd have a tough time cheering for Marvin Harrison and Ray Lewis as well, Cromartie too. I don't want these guys on the Patriots. Guess what, judging by the way Belichick does things, he feels the same way, as at least Patriots were cut after acting like lackarses.
What burglary? All I'm seeing reported in the media is a couple of fights. Do you have a link?? I got into a couple of fights in college, I think it's normal, especially if you hang out a frat houses.
And I call BS. You would have a tough time cheering for the greatest MLB in modern NFL history if he were on your team? Really? Why, because he's a bad dancer? Because one of his homies killed somebody?

Exactly. Taylor could fill a big need for the Jets at #30, and they don't seem to be sticklers for hard-working choirboys.
He did mention off-field concerns, he just didn't dwell on it.Mike Mayock who did the color for the Senior Bowl was raving -- absolutely raving about this kid. No mention of character at all.
