After three years I still can't come to a conclusion of what I think about Tannehill. He's not bad, but not anything far out of the ordinary either for a starting NFL QB.

$19.25m per season

Lol and it's being rumored the Seahawks won't pay Russell Wilson $20m per year... Insane.

Good, finally a front office with a brain...unlike the Dolphins, Ravens, Bengals, Steelers, Broncos, Cowboys, Giants, Bears, Lions, Falcons, Saints, 49ers and soon the Colts(although their front office has never had a brain ever so we'll just include them too)

Nobody deserves 20 million per year, that just screws the rest of your team big time. But if you had to pay someone that much, Only Rodgers and Brady deserve that kind of money.

2 players making elite QB money on the same team usually doesn't work out that well.
Suh is a elite defensive player when his heads on straight. But The bigger problem is Tannehill isn't an elite QB. At least not yet anyway. Kind of reminds me of the Bears being pressured into signing Cutler. Showed promise, lots of TDs but really needed to take the next step and instead of improving he regressed. Bears were just afraid to lose him and they paid the price for not waiting to see if he was elite or not.

45 mill guaranteed....Wilson now..based on that...should get a TON

Exxxccceeellleeennnntttt!

Can't wait for that Seahawks team to fall apart at the seams the second they have to give Wilson a real contract.. They've paid a ton of players on that team top contracts because they had the luxury of having Wilson on a rookie deal.

Jimmy Graham
Earl Thomas
Richard Sherman
Marshawn Lynch
Russell Okung
Michael Bennett
Cliff Avril
Kam Chancellor
KJ Wright

Then you have Russell Wilson, Bobby Wagner, Cliff Avril and Jeremy Lane on their rookie deals. Plus, Pete Carroll has basically exhausted his college scouting from his personal experience at USC after this last draft. He doesn't have first hand knowledge anymore, so the chances of him continuing his ridiculous drafts are very low IMO.

Good luck with that Petey!

Miami must be the anomaly.. stay tuned to Zolak, he does not think all that much of Tannehill.

Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson are happy men today, especially Luck. Tannehill just set the floor for them. Luck is going to be looking at some ridiculous numbers. As for Tannehill and the Dolphins, they had better hope that the OL starts protecting him better. He's taken some hellacious shots that have obviously taken their toll on him late in the season.

Has or does Brady made that much per season? A couple Google searches pulls up that the most he's made is $18MM, but I can't quite figure out the bonus schedules and such.

@FieldYates: Combined cap hits for Ndamukong Suh & Ryan Tannehill:

2015: $10.873M

2016: $40.24M
