Jesus.Looks like the UDFAs so far are focused on two things:
2. Cheap ST contributors who could become role players over time: i.e. Ross and Tarpinian.
The one report said tarpinian projects size wise as an ILB; but he was a DB who converted to LB and was a backup LB on the team (according to the video) whose video highlight was a ST monster tackle and caused fumble. [Edit add: So I think he is more a ST guy and not a LB project.]

In the past, BB has liked guys who can play the hybrid SS/LB role for sub-defenses. But it takes a guy who has some speed and coverage ability and obviously he first has to make the team on his STs ability. Tarpinian is the right size for that.Jesus.
He's like one of those hybrid golf clubs all the pro's are using these days.

Tarpinian's Pro Day Stats
Height: 6'02 1/8"
Weight: 235
40: 4.56
20: 2.68
10: 1.67
Bench: 16
Vertical: 37"
Broad: 10' 05"
3-Cone: 4.10
Shuttle: 6.78
Of note: Tarpinian was an option QB in HS and went to Iowa as a Safety but was converted to LB.
With how he hits and his coverage ability, I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the PS and converted to a safety...
it's actually common knowledge that the Jets are now $75M under the cap.
Colts had a good day.

Optimal hair color.
That said, the 2011 OL crop seems to be getting poor marks on the all-important ugly beard potential.
