I don't think MC is a better QB, but you could make a strong argument that he had a better year than PM.

Matty Cassel def had a better year than Seyton. But it's the PB no one should have expected seyton to be left off the ballad. The man could throw 30 ints and still be an alternate

Congrats to Devin McCourty.
Listed as Asomugha, Revis, McCourty - heady company as a rookie.

Interesting, as troubled as the Pats defense has been at times, to send four players to the Pro Bowl.

Joining Brady in Honolulu from the Patriots will be McCourty; guard Logan Mankins, who missed a portion of the season in a contract dispute; linebacker Jerod Mayo; safety Brandon Meriweather; and nose tackle Vince Wilfork.

Congrats to all!!!! Next year the will be joined by Gronk, Woodhead, Cunningham, and a host of others.

I was at the afc championship game in Pittsburgh lol

In rodneys 6 years as a pat he has got 8 interceptions 6 FUMBLES
IN MERRIWEATHERS 4 years as a pat he has 12 interceptions 5 fumbles

Not calling him great, but you pats fans are way too hard on him.

Funny how you left off (even while excluding '05 completely) the 432 tackles, 9 sacks, and 31 passes defensed from the evaluation.

I like BMW, but the Harrison comment was stupid, and you got called on it. Rather than looking even worse by attempting to defend it, just recognize your error and move on.

Had to do some research on this one, but the last time a rookie CB made the Pro Bowl was 1998 - Charles Woodson. Hasn't happened in 12 years!!!!!

If the Pats make it to the superbowl, the selected pro bowls players will not play in the pro bowl game. But they will be considered pro bowl caliber players.

They will not be in the Pro Bowl WHEN the Pats make the SB. Players on SB teams do not play in the ProBowl.

Thats the thing, i never said he was better or as good as those players. I said merri presence and dirty play IS FEARED by receivers who don't want to get laid out or injured. Never said he was in rodney/james league, but as defense listed his stats. He gives the pats that harrison gives the steelers. Which is why i said he's the pats harrison, not skill wise, but if you're a receiver you must account for him.

Merri is a gambler who because of the team he plays for get a lot of slack if he makes a bad choice. My point is he's not that bad.

Pro Bowlers do end up missing some practice time as they have some ceremonies/photo ops they need to go to even though they aren't playing.

So happy for D-Mac, he so deserved it, enough of the Champ Bailey crap, that's old, he can't hold D-Mac's junk at this point on his best day.

That was the case when the probowl and SB were both in Miami. With the SB in Dallas and the PB in Hawaii it will probably will be different.

I get the Meriweather hate and this going to his head is definitely a concern, but why are so many people calling Mankins undeserving? Is it because a probowl birth might cause him to demand more once the seasons over? He's not the only guy who made the probowl while missing some games (Ed Reed says hi), and the line has been the best line in the NFL since his return, compared to being slightly above average beforehand. Mankins deserves that birth based on how he's played since that Cleveland game, sorry to all the Mankins haters who think Mankins is gonna be easily replaceable if he leaves. He's worth every penny of the money he's demanding.
