It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Fairley just seems like a poor decision maker. If that 4.5 doesn't include a lot of NLTBE incentives, that seems awfully high. Love having him here - fills a big hole before the draft, but Fairley went for what, 3?
At this stages of their careers, Fairley may be the better player but I believe Knighton may be the better fit. That's a lot of size at DT. It's difficult not to get a little excited at what the Patriots are building, especially on D. Now, if the Patriots get some clarity at CB3/CB4, then this may be the best D, in terms of depth the team has had under Belichick.Assuming Pats offered Fairley the same deal he did leave me on the table to have a bigger role in NO.
His deal was 1 year/$3m (with $2.2m gtd)
When they join other teams, players grow warts.Very nice. Who do people prefer, Potroast or Fairley?

I think Fairley is the better player and would've been the better direct replacement for Hicks, but Knighton is still a pretty good addition.Very nice. Who do people prefer, Potroast or Fairley?
Great another guy we're paying more that Edelman
Jules is gonna become a locker room cancer because he's so upset

They're really completely different players. Fairley is a penetrater, Knighton is a space eater.I think Fairley is the better player and would've been the better direct replacement for Hicks, but Knighton is still a pretty good addition.
If I was Edelman, I wouldn't worry about how much a 350 Nose tackle makes.
When it came time for contract negotiations, I am sure his agent will point to Amendola's salary vs production.
Never forget: Scott Chandler.
"Patriot killers" tend not to do well once they actually come play for us.
Revis is the only exception that comes to mind at the moment.

When you've got Branch, Brown, and Knighton on the roster, I want those guys clogging space allowing Easley, Sheard, Ninko, Hightower, and Collins if called for, to pin back the ears and cause disruption. They're really completely different players.
