It's not fair, they didn't include best looks in those stats.

The reason why people hate statistics is because of the way people can easily misrepresent them. 5 of Brady's 8 INTs came in 2 games. 3 in the Ravens playoff game where he had only an injured Moss to throw to and 2 in the Jets game.

Overall in 2009 he threw an INT every 43.5 pass attempts, bested only by 03 and 07.

He could have written this article at the end of the regular season, and it would have said Peyton had 11 INT in the last 8 games. He could have written this article before last week and it would have shown Sanchez had 5 INT in the last 8 games.

In 2009 Sanchez threw an INT every 18.2 pass attempts. If that's what they've been doing "since he arrived" then they've been doing an absolutely atrocious job of it. Now he hasn't thrown an INT in 2010 and he's BOUND to improve upon that but small samples don't prove King's assertion.

As much as I hate to say it, Sanchez has played some damn good football in the last two games. He's making all of his throws, and they aren't just checkdowns anymore. He's making the deep throws, the intermediate throws, and the throws to his left... and he's doing it with pinpoint accuracy. He's almost single-handedly the reason for the Jets offensive improvement from Weeks 1 to 2 and 3. It's even scarier knowing that they're going to get Santonio Holmes back in the next couple of weeks. If they keep playing like that, they're going to be incredibly tough to beat.

Sanchez has far, far exceeded my expectations of him the last two years, but King is guilty of just cherry picking stats to suit his argument or create a story. Why pick an arbitrary number of 8 games? Probably because 9 games ago Sanchez turned the ball over 5 times against the Pats.

I don't understand the Sanchez predictions by the media. he's still young ... seems to have decent ability. I'm no expert but even last year I never thought he was one of the worst QB's in the league. maybe he'll never be top-5 but he could be top 10 if he puts the work in someday.

    A couple things about Sanchez

He made all the throws in college, really threw a nice ball.

He's also intelligent, one of the few USC players who aced a knowledge quiz a couple years back.

All the really really dumb things Sanchez says to the media, I believe, are a product of the coach constantly yapping away. If Parcells were still the coach of the Jets, Sanchez would seem like a nose to the grindstone talented QB.

I think it's a product of him being uncomfortable with the media spotlight. Driving in and around NYC, I have listened to his interviews on occasion and the interactions seem forced to me. Then again, I always say the same thing about Tom Brady and he doesn't make dumb comments.
