Todays games certainly didn't help Pats in the Home Field Hunt.
Lots of big battles and looks like 3-1 will be needed for the Pats.
NE: ...... vs BAL .. @DEN .. vs NYJ .. @ MIA
OAK: .... @KC .... @SD ..... vs IND .. @DEN
KC: ..... vs OAK .. vs TEN .. vs DEN .. @SD
DEN: ... @TEN .. vs NE .... @KC ..... vs OAK
All teams are 3-1 outside of conference .. with only conference games left .. which means the conference wins tie breaker will not resolve HF.
Next criterium is - Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
If the tie is with OAK - the common games would be with BAL, DEN, HOU, BUF.
If the tie is with KC - the common games would be with HOU, NYJ, PIT, DEN.
The first question here is how do they determine which of the 2 games against BUF (in the case of Patriots) or DEN (in the case of OAK & KC) count?
In any case in this tiebreaker Pats would beat KC (even if they lose @DEN) - since they are already 3-0 (KC 1-2). If this tiebreaker would be with OAK Pats would have to win both BAL and DEN to be even since OAK are already 4-0.
If this is indeed a deciding tiebreaker then Pats would be better off with KC win next week.
Of course the strength of the remaining schedule would indicate rooting for OAK in that game.
Its gonna be tough to get HF and will probably take both wins vs BAL & @DEN.
