Uh-oh. Internet tough guy coming! You didn't listen, and now you've been warned twice. Next time it's a phone call to mommy, and I know you don't want that.

Do players need to be medically cleared to be on the sidelines? I see players in street clothes and crutches at almost every game on TV. They don't look like they're even cleared to walk, yet.
I know he's a leader and a great guy, but that just seems like far too much money for his production level. He's been in the middle of some very bad defenses and made some tackles, but I don't see any way you can justify giving him that kind of money.
So much for the "Kraft is cheap" argument. The Pats have restructured Vollmer's contract to make it possible for him to reach incentives that would have been difficult under the original terms, and have increased the salaries of practice squad players who have worked hard. I see the Ninkovich increase in line with the policy of rewarding hardworking players who are (relatively) underpaid.I think it's good that the Patriots give Ninkovich a pay raise. Because it shows that if you sign a contract that's good for what you do at that time, and then work your ass off, even if you probably will be past the good contract age when your current contract is up, then the team will reward you anyway. This is a team that isn't afraid to let players go that maybe gets payed more because of their name and past play than because of their current play(Mankins, Wilfork, etc). But it's also a team that rewards players that work their ass off.
BUT HOW WILL THEY PAY HIGHTOWER, JONES AND SOLDER NOW?
I have no problem with the Patriots rewarding Ninkovich. He's an excellent and productive footballer under appreciated by the wider NFL community.
One of the things that irks me Deus is sure, the Patriots are cutthroat with players as they enter twilight years but reworked deals that reward players are chronically overlooked, even glossed over by the media. The Patriots pay for performance but you wouldn't know it.With all the snaps he's played in the past couple of years, it's money well-earned.

I highly doubt that. I believe the business plan has always been to compete every year.I just really hope they aren't thinking about punting on this year to free up cap space over the next couple seasons. The Drive for Five has a very short window.
What the hell are we planning to do with all this cap space? Mayo's restructure will probably put us back to 12 million under.
Until Tom Brady proves otherwise, the Patriots window is open every year.I just really hope they aren't thinking about punting on this year to free up cap space over the next couple seasons. The Drive for Five has a very short window.
