Logan Mankins comments, tweeted by Reiss: "The defense played great, as they have all year. We let them down."

Brady is starting to lose a step but that is to be expected when you get into your late 30's. Its not helping that BB decided to surround Brady with such a piss poor receiving core. This is worse than the 2006 receiving core.

No coincidence that Manning at age 37 is putting up ridiculous numbers because Elway surrounded Manning with great receivers. Its anybody's guess why BB just refuses to give Brady the same help at his age.

Okay, this was the guy's first game back and he's not all the way there yet. He was questionable to even play this game. The Pats were clearly monitoring his snaps as well. Lay off him a bit.

The other receivers needed to make plays and just didn't. As someone else pointed out, the debate this week will be whether Brady was just off or if he was off because of his receivers being inconsistent. That will be the debate all year. You can't lose guys like Gronkowski, Hernandez, Welker and Woodhead and not see some kind of drop off. With all the people moaning about Welker, I was more upset (and still am) about the loss of Woodhead. That guy always showed up for the grind it out games.

But our answer for Woodhead was Vereen. You can't just look back after V got injured and say we should have kept two pass catching, all around running backs.

A little perspective, even Super Bowl contenders like the Seahawks lose on the road too.

Dobson cannot catch because I have seen him drop passes all year. Dobson cannot run routes because I have seen him run the wrong routes all season.

Edelman is a great punt returned but an average wide out.

Nice blatant lies on your part. Dobson has caught more passes than he's dropped. Dobson has run plenty of the correct routes. It's BS on your part to say otherwise.

Edelman is better than an average wide out. You saying otherwise doesn't make it true..

Tired of hearing about streaks and all that. That stuff doesn't matter! Only wins do!!

Time to move on and put this game in the rearview mirror.

"We're onto New Orleans."

— Bill Belichick

Not that it matters anymore but hopefully Brady wasn't thinking "gotta get a TD Pass for the streak" when he was close to the goal line in the 4th quarter.

The unbeatable superest goony gaa gaa hero team in history, YOUR Seattle Seasquawks, just got beat in Indy...therefore...the Pats suck

Return to your ESPN sinkhole board and take your whacked out "expectations" with you..morons

Darius Butler with the game sealing INT against the Seahawks.

Good for him.

Eh well Seattle just lost to... Game sealing int by Darius butler lol

Not trying to ride you on it, so please don't take offense. It wasn't the easiest catch, ever, either, but it should have been caught.

If I'm an opposing D.C. right now, I'd never play zone against this group without a healthy Gronk and Amendola. The rookies can't beat you right now. Go man and blitz the hell out of Brady.

Yeah. They have no skill players that can just flat-out win a 1v1 match-up. I thought Amendola back would be able to do this...

Vereen and Gronk are the biggest 'match-up' weapons for the offense. Need these guys back 100%. Should take a load off KT and AD.

All this, however, means shlt if they can't block.

Everyone on offense sucked today. Coaches didn't coach well, blockers didn't block, pass catchers didn't catch, the quarterback wasn't accurate, runners didn't run, we fumbled, and a temporary Monsoon arrived the moment we needed it least.

The defense played great, but not elite. An elite D wouldn't have given up the 3rd and long in the end zone. Hard to knitpick their performance too much, but come January they may need to be that much better when the offense gets shut down as they routinely have in postseason since '04.

Even Super Bowl contenders like the Seahawks lose on the road too.

I heard the media saying their road woes are over. Yet all i'm seeing is they are still average on the road.

Needed a choke job by Schaub to come back last week and squeaked by the Panthers 12-7.

Than Amendola takes a WIDE OPEN Pass from Brady falls at 1/2 inch line can't spin in for a TD is touched by DBs NO TD!

With all the talk about drops, probably worth noting that was an amazing catch. If Brady puts the on the money, it's an easy TD. Amendola had stop his momentum and catch a ball way behind him, and then gather himself. Credit the DB for getting the tag just in the nick of time. Huge play in the game. But it was a really great catch.

Here's a stat for ya...

1-12 on 3rd downs. Hard to win like that.

OOF. Can't help but feel that Woodhead would've made a huge difference today. Bolden is just not a 3rd down back and he's being asked to play that role.

Vereen and Ridley can't come back soon enough. Is there any indication of what Ridley's injury is and how serious it is?

Well, glad to get the yearly stinker out of the way early. That way it doesn't affect any momentum we build starting around Thanksgiving. Nothing in this game to point to appease the Ron Borges/naysayers.

It would have been an ugly win, but winning is always preferred over losing. The team needs to gets health on offense and the defense just needs to hang in there. hopefully Kelly will be ok and not sent to IR (hopeful as he came back, but you never know).

Tough game to watch, Miami lost so we're still ahead of them. Gronk may be back soon and all the dynamics on offense will change.

Not that it matters anymore but hopefully Brady wasn't thinking "gotta get a TD Pass for the streak" when he was close to the goal line in the 4th quarter.

Good God. Yeah Brady looked lousy today, crappy receivers or not. But why is this even a thought in your head?????

IND beat SEA. IND might be good?
Bad spot for the Seahawks with another 1PM EST game. They struggled against the Texans last week and should've lost last week if Houston wasn't so inept.

So the situation without proper context can't be really gauged. But, yeah, the Colts if they keep playing like that have a legit shot at winning the ACFS, especially since the Titans lost Locker for the time being.

Not having Ridley there hurt. But Bolden is still a better short-yardage option than Blount.

At any rate Bengals D-line dominated that game. Don't think Gronk is going to help with this team's biggest weakness going on seven years now--inability to handle quick, disruptive DTs.

Blount looks like he's running in quicksand most of the times. He has NO acceleration, and that is why he hasn't been able to use his size to run people over. He's just not an effective short yardage back because you need a burst to hit the hole hard, and he just doesn't have that at the moment.
