Think this important to look at going forward, if we can run this many plays in a game we will be hard to beat. Even though some of the mistakes today were very costly, if we can run this many plays teams will just be too tired to beat us in the 4th quarter.
BTW, I see you're from Columbus. I used to live in Worthington and my first cousin is the sax player for a pretty well known rock band who hails from OSU and owns a store in the DP dough chains, so I know the area well.
Ps--go bucks
I at various times lived with my parents in Upper Arlington, and visited them at points north and northwest -- the unincorporated area just north of 270, an assisted living facility on Riverside Drive in Dublin, etc.
That said, I'm one of the few people to ever transfer from UCLA to Ohio State, and was fairly grudging about it. Indeed, I opened a leftover bottle of champagne when UCLA upset OSU in the 1976 Rose Bowl.
Usually you need to execute plays to keep running more....
So if i understand correctly we were executing today?

# of plays mean jack. If you don't put points on the board, you ain't making it...
Teams that go 3 and out tend not to have a high number of plays. That is simple math. The execution was far from flawless yesterday, but the Pats had more first downs than the much celebrated Broncos in their rout, and almost as many yards (70 fewer). Teams are not given first downs.
The points taken off the board (and 23 points is not exactly an awful point total by NFL standards - 12 teams yesterday scored more points than that) were largely due to turnovers. The Pats are not usually negative in turnovers, and it showed. I have no doubt the Pats will fix that particular problem in one way or another (fix the player or bench the player) as the season progresses.
I'm fine with us doing this, but Brady shouldn't be throwing 52 times a game.
Maybe. But if they run 89 plays, a lot of them are going to be throws. Heck, they ran the ball 35 times yesterday. Only one team this week had more rushing plays than the Patriots (Tennessee, with 42). That's it.
