So let's see...
Brady v. NFL (or whatever) is all labor law, "Rule of the shop" or whatevah. It has to do with "You never said what the punishment was, and it turned out to be crazy," along with "You don't have proof the employee did i.
Lol keep in mind I was hammered when I wrote that and still am. If I wrote it poorly investigate bud light. It's more probable than not they were generally aware I'm dumber on the internet drinking and I was not warned!!!that's good to hear

The basic premise seemed to be 1) multiple allegations + 2) witnesses/victims paid off = no charges, but Goodell believed that something probably happened anyway, so **** it. Suspension it is.
You got me. I am Warren Sapphmmm....supposedly doesn't condone sexual assault, but now we find he's up for anything.....
I wonder if Roger's generally aware that he's a sack of ****.
yes he is..and he's very proud of the speckled corn adorning the outside of the sack too..
Technically, I'm sure the NFL could fine or otherwise punish the Patriots. Somehow, however, I think they're not going to in this instance ...
Silver spoon. To quote a famous politician, " he woke up on third base and thinks he hit a triple." His father was elected to Congress as a representative several times but he was appointed to the U.S. Senate ( not elected) to fill Bobby Kennedy's seat from NY after Kennedy was assassinated.Hey that's not fair. I bet his dad worked pretty hard to get him where he is today.
Why did Vick get boned too by the NFL somehow? Man I gotta pay more attention if so. I recently realized I wasn't fair to big ben. Rapist or not(as weird as it sounds, and I 100% do not codone sexual assault IF he did it) the NFL has no proof and should not punish somebody they have no proof or criminal charges.
Goodell is just (what was the Yahoo article's description "punch drunk and full of prejudice") crazy enough to suspend Kraft for conduct detrimental and try to penalize the Pats more draft picks...Nothing and I mean nothing would shock me anymore. The only positive is that it appears that ownership is finally on the same page as the fans here and if Goodell does take that action, you are looking at a scorched earth result where everything will come out....Don't be so sure. I think it is 50/50
Goodell is heavily invested in this fiasco. It's nearly an overt play for greater power (otherwise WTF is the whole deflategate overblown contrived nonsense about?). A play for power that is aimed at the NFLPA but is also a stake in the ground to the owners. I tell you what, when you go deep in on a power play like this, and while doing it you get a public 'slight' by someone who theoretically is a member of your own side (Kraft is, structurally, completely on Goodell's side), and you let this 'slight' go by without some sort of public display of authority, it is undermining your own play for power. This public moment of weakness can/will embolden others in the future to defy you.
The reason he won't punish Kraft would be based, IMHO, on Goodell's sense this thing is spiraling in a way that could cause him and his lops to sense they could lose control of its direction and narrative. Goodell and his lops have so far played it well with their controlled leaks, "independent investigation", proper impact wording, proper impact timing etc etc. They have been the driver of the message/story. If they lose control of the message they are markedly weakened.

I think the emails were just the opening salvo and that there are others to follow.
The league office better hope there are no mistresses, unethical actions or unreported DUIs or other skeletons in their closet because once the media starts sniffing around they will be as popular as that Minnesota dentist who killed Cecil the Lion.
This is going to get ugly and the only saving grace is that it appears the Krafts have finally recognized it as well.......
