I understand what you're saying. I've been a Pats fan since the 70s. But, I'm a fan of the team today. And I show it with Flying Elvi.
In 2002 they wore the old uniforms in a THanksgiving day win at Detroit. It was very cool. During the Super Bowls I sometimes thought it would be nice if the team I was watching was wearing the old red uniforms, kind of gesture to the old group, hey, we finally got there.
It is interesting how once the uniforms changed in 1993 the whole history of the franchise turned around.
Does anyone remember, was it Parcells idea to change them when he was hired?

No. The change was made by James Orenthal Bush. Most people assume it was Kraft and/or Parcells but they had nothing to do with it. I can remember the press asking Parcells about the uniform change and his comment was something like "I don't care if they play in gray sweatshirts".
Orenthal was putting the foundation in place to move the franchise to St Louis. He wanted more of a national logo and look before he made his move.
His name was Orthwein.
Very cool image! (Not easy to take one's eyes off the sig, either!!) :rocker:

Aaarrrrrgh, the old red and whites in the super bowls? Do you have no superstition that, after being world beaters throughout the season, division and conference championships the Patriots might revert to the old losing ways with those uniforms on? I do. You got to dance with them what brung you man. Leave the reds and whites in here:In 2002 they wore the old uniforms in a THanksgiving day win at Detroit. It was very cool. Pat Patriot is great. I wish they'd put that logo on the shoulders on the current uni with the Elvis on the helmet.
NOW THAT.....is a good idea! Or perhaps on one side of the chest.
Good point. New unis = THE Patriots legacy. The rest of Patriots history is about like that of the Oilers or the Chargers. Not horrible, but not great, like this current era.I agree ! Besides these new uniforms have already started their own legacy.
