Wheatley - injury prone and will always be injury prone
Wilhite - meh
Richardson - extra MEH
Hobbs - will get more money than he's worth in free agency... from another team

Wheatley - injury prone and will always be injury prone I guess you could call him injury prone. Well, unless you take into consideration that the wrist injury is one of those catastrophic things that you can't prepare for. Other than the wrist injury, he's missed one game with a knee sprain.
Wilhite - meh He's a rookie. What were you expecting? Another version of Michael Haynes?
Richardson - extra MEH He's basically a rookie having spent last year on the IR. What were you expecting? Another version of Ty Law?
Hobbs - will get more money than he's worth in free agency... from another team
Hobbs is signed through the 2009 season. Perhaps you're thinking about James Sanders who is likely to be overpaid by another team for the 2009 season.
Sanders is a JAG - Won't likely get a contract anywhere near what Wilson got before he was dumped and he sucked after his first 2 seasons.
And to believe that someone who starts for the patriots will be out of football after his rookie contract is probably in the top 10 of the worst analyses of the year.
Sanders if let go by the Pats is probably done with football at that time.
As always, we can always use a veteran or two (as this year). However, we start 2009 (and this year's playoffs) with Hobbs, Wheatley, Wilhite and Richardson. As with linebacker, this is not a critical need. Pioli has already reloaded.
Richardson is upgradable until he progresses more.
So are Wilhite and Wheatley. What is your point?
