There is no one who is over 30!
Seymour, Wilfork, Warren and Green are still among the best in the business.
And we have LeKevin Smith and Titus Adams as backups for 2009.

I always thought 'old' referred to our LBs and Rodney.
I just wish they could get some qb pressure.

I can't remember anyone saying our Dline was old.
Mostly old D referred to Vrabel(33), Seau(38?), A.Thomas(31),
Bruschi(35) and Harrison(36).

That right there was a lot of starting age. 5 of 11, almost half the defense
over 30.

Now Harrison, Seau are not playing and Bruschi maybe playing a lesser role.
Youth is assuming those positions and defense is getting faster.
I believe Lynch was not brought back because the FO has made the
decision to bring youth to an aging defense.

Also Seymour while not old has seen a lot of miles. Both he and Green will
be 30 next year.

The time for a Youth movement has come. Hats off to the Vets who
brought us 3 Trophies. We will always remember the glory days that
you gave us.
But the old soldiers must now just fade away. Sad but it's life.

The Pats defense itself isn't even old anymore. Other than Bruschi and Vrabel everyone is in their prime or younger. The Pats probably have one of the youngest starting secondaries now that Sanders has replaced Harrison and Wheatley (assuming he is ok) replaced O'Neal.

The only people calling the d-line old, are the same people who said "Cassel sucks, bring in culpepper"

The D should be really scary next year. All this youth, with a years worth of experience.
