    Louisville sluggers.......$20
    Box of baseballs.........$30
Trading your worst player for 60 cases of Budweiser........PRICELESS!

Poor Nigel! I bet Dan Duquette would have signed him!

He's also a part-time actor. I guess this is a sign he should probably go into acting full time.

He's best know for portraying "Leon", the T.O.-esque football player from the Budweiser commercials. If I were into using words incorrectly, I'd say "Oh, the irony!" But I'm not.

That makes the trade for Budweiser all the more humerous.

This guy is actually Leon from the Budweiser commercials.

    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0857101/

Plays the self-centered, fictitious athlete, "Leon", in the Budweiser beer commercials. His slogan is "I ain't playin' unless someone is payin.'"

Playing minor league baseball for the Schaumburg (Ill.) Flyers. He is a relief pitcher for the team. [2005]

    Didn't see above post.

I wonder what kind of teammate he is. I guess he's not good enough to have the ego of his alter-ego.

Wow that seems like a huge coincidence. I have a feeling there is something more to the story that involves some sort of awful PR/marketing ploy.

Or maybe somebody just has an overdeveloped sense of irony and thought it would be funny.

Maybe "Leon" was making excuses similar to "Well if one of those other guys would pick up my fumbles it wouldn't be a problem, now would it." Hm, I kinda liked those adds.

I'd bet a bottle of Amador county old-vine zinfandel ...

that this entire thing is a ploy, arranged by Anheuser-Busch's ad agency.

Are you kidding? This is no coincidence. This is a brilliant marketing ploy! Nigel’s baseball career may be on the downslide, but Leon is making a comeback! Free publicity for Bud. We’re all talking about it, you know the story will be proliferated around the net.

Being traded for beer is bad enough but when that beer is watered down pretend beer like Bud well, that's just not proper.

I figured this thread was about Joey Harrington finally getting to Miami.

I was about to reply that Saban totally got ripped off.
