I'm wondering if maybe sleep deprivation has to do with 56 pages of complete panic in the other thread. Otherwise, I don't know. I get that we are all over invested in the team somewhat….that's why we're all here. But maybe we need to dial it down a bit. What's all this "Now we have to deal with this…" stuff. We are on the internet battling trolls. We choose to do that, for the most part. If people on the internet (who don't care one bit about the truth anyway) are that upsetting, it's probably time to step away for a bit.
This was by far the most intelligent thing I have read today!
And this is coming from someone who commented in that thread!
After the 2007 loss in the Superbowl, I took it SOOO hard I realized I had to dial it back.
And I will admit I dialed it back A LOT after that loss. I used to be all over the message boards. Now I occasionally lurk and will go months and months without posting. And sometimes months without lurking. Wouldn't watch sports shows. Would only watch games, skip half time, skip pregame.
Realized there was no sense getting so emotionally involved in something I had ZERO control over.
But recently I had started getting a little more "over invested" and today was a buzzkill for me. Not like it would have been pre 2007.
Just disappointed that after a big win like that, I was looking forward to enjoying it for a few days. Was tuning into the radio shows I had not tuned into in forever to hear about the Pats and how good the O and D looked and some game analysis only to find no one talking about the game.
It was "deflating".
But whatever.
Anyway, quoting again just because
