It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I know, read my response to Sup, I should have just posted my post, not quoted yours in the process, sorry.Of course I'm not. It was a tongue in cheek response to a Game of Thrones/Red Wedding post.
Them's the facts.....mankins play has been slipping past few years....agreed
@GregABedard
What few wanted to admit was Mankins' play had slipped the past few years. This is BB selling high.
I think Develin can replace Hooman's reps.
With Wright now on board, I could see LaFell possibly falling victim to the numbers game. But only if Dobson is healthy.
The chart says negative $42,000 and is in red, meaning it's a negative savings, also known as an expense. Miguel is saying cutting/trading Brady would accelerate the remaining $42k of his deal onto that year's cap.
So no, Brady is going nowhere next year.
Takes awhile to learn that route tree. Lafell has had all offseason, OTA's, TC, etc.
Wright comes in fresh from a different system.
Highly unlikely to dump the guy who knows where he is running.
Who is running the show Bill Belichick or Steve Belichick?
Steve Belichick: More Rutgers
You are correct It: 3883345 said:Don't like the move, especially without a suitable backup. Problem with recent playoff losses were at the lines. OL got trashed last year in Denver, Baltimore the previous year. The new OL may be good enough for the regular season, but once playoffs come around, I don't see how it won't struggle again, as of now, you can't really say there is any improvement in the OL.
Pretty predictable really....great move by BBFor everyone who claimed cutting tommy Kelly was shocking, THIS is what shocking really looks like. Adjust accordingly.
Revis likely practiced regularly against Wright during their shared tenure in Tampa. The “move” tight end draws from his wide receiver background and is developing into a strong pass-catcher. He needs to work his blocking if he wants a role in New England. The Patriots offense is complicated too, so he may need some time to get to speed. Luckily, he’s got that — speed, that is.
OK, I see SOME folks here really dismissing Mankins' play.
I'm no fan of his, but let's be honest, folks. He was an excellent OG who played a season through an ACL tear. That is not chicken feed.
That being said, he is 32 and has been diminishing (instead of being one of the 3 best OG in the NFL, to being one of the 12 best - - still not appropriate to hog up $10.5 million in the salary cap era).
His teammates evidently loved him and he was a top player (just not as "top" as before). Good luck to him. It's a business.
Mankins’ play had slipped the past three years. While he was still one of the best run-blocking guards in the league (his pulling ability freed up many big runs down the stretch last season) his pass blocking had taken a hit, most likely because of assorted leg injuries. He no longer moves very well laterally in space; it was eye opening to watch him allow five sacks in back-to-back games against the Dolphins and Steelers last fall.
Gave up 11 sacks.....enough said....and how much of our often ineffective running game....and partial sack screw ups falls on mankins?? Guy has been going downhill since BB insulted him with offers for a contract....and was always a bit overated after his first season hereSI_DougFarrar@SI_DougFarrar28m

Mankins allowed 11 sacks in 2013, with the occasional time at tackle. Among guards, only Brian Winters allowed more.
Not to rag on Mankins, but that isn't a good stat. Obviously, theres more to it as the OL works as a team, but still.
220 lb is a SLOT receiver nowadays.....? Im still thinking of edelman welker amendola and decker as TYPICAL slot receivers and none/few of them are breaking six feet......wright is a great pickup and at least .......is a good WR!I must confess to not having seen him play, but what makes a 220lb guy a TE and not a slot receiver. It doesn't sound like Tim Wright is much of a blocker and isn't a threat to play inline.
I've read also that the TE route tree and assignments are a lot less complicated to get down than the full WR gig. So hopefully Wright can pick things up faster than a WR might.
Fixed it. Added the - to the front of the $42,000,000. Sorry about the confusion. It's very likely I'm misreading Miguels web site - I'm not great with this cap stuff but that's $42 m under the heading "2015 Cap Savings if Cut or Traded before June 2,"
