That D could be getting fiesty with Ryan at the helm and Scott and Harris in the middle. Now they add Sheppard a solid jam cornerback. They just need a QB, HEY, WE GOT AN EXTRA ONE, LET'S SPICE THIS BABY UP LIKE BLEDSOE TO THE BILLS.

They already have a couple of really good DBs now they that got Shepard and are after Leonard seems like they are paranoid about someone's arial attack.

As far as their cap, they were never in that bad shape. a lot of money was in roster bonuses, easily converted to signing bonus and spread out. That plus FAVRAH retiring and Coles agreeing to give up guaranteed money just to get out adds up pretty quick.

If you are remotely comfotable entering the season with Clemens, and Ratliff...you are nuts. They are terrible.

How do you know they are terrible? Can they be any worse then Favre?

I think it's more from the standpoint of "if we trade them a good QB, then we're basically giving them the single hardest piece to becoming a legitimate division rival". Why would we just hand that over? Would be better to trade Cassel to someone else, and let them continue to suck while they try to groom up the Ratliffs and Clemens of the world.
