Wait, is it 2012 ? Didn't we have these guys in camp last year ?
Both would improve the receiver group IMHO, beating out Jenkins. If Collie could stay healthy, he could help out alot. We know what Gaffney brings to the table.
That hit he took which kept him prone and motion-less for minutes on end was one time when I honestly thought a player had died on the field.Austin Collie needs to retire for his own good.
Nothing good can come of continuing to play football after so many bad concussions

You guys make a good point about Collie and there may be a larger lesson. Players cannot be trusted to act in their own best interests. Since teams have their own interests which can conflict with those of the players, perhaps there should be an independent medical board funded jointly by the NFLPA and the league that would offer independent medical review and assessments.
So you want to tell a football player he isn't allowed to play football even when Doctors have cleared him?
Perhaps bars should install breathalizers and not serve anyone who is at the legal driving limit since they can't be trusted to act in their own best interest.
Maybe we should go for sterilization of people with low incomes, IQs, or medical and psychological issues.
Not really busting your b@lls just pointing out that you can extend taking someones rights away from them because you consider it better for them a long way.
A strange proposal indeed, but not remotely close to anything I said or think. I want players and the league to get complete and accurate information about risks from folks who do not have a vested interest in the decision.
