It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Yes ... the concept is fine they should eliminate the game itself and just consider the election an achievement. All the all star games have sucked since cable / satellite TV / the internet.Easy answer to the original question:
The Pro Bowl is inherently hard to market because it's a pointless game played at half speed with nothing on the line.

Im in complete favor of a skills competition. Who is the fastest, strongest etc. Which kicker can get the most 60 yard kicks.
Curious use of the word "genius". Would never have thought to apply it in this case.
How about something combining other popular TV viewing concepts?
Call it "Pro Bowl Survivor" where the AFC and NFC are two tribes.
Drop the players off on a Gilligan's island type locale where the first team that figures out how to get rescued wins, while they have random contests where a losing player gets voted out of the competition.
Hilarity ensues!
The All Star Game should be like "The Longest Yard:" instead of guards against cons it would be NFL Headquarters against the All Stars. To be fair we would let the Jets play for the NFL HQ team. And yes Goodell, Vincent, Gardi, Blandino, Pash, Kensil HAVE TO PLAY. The Paul, Weiss attorneys would dress up as cheerleaders for the NFL side.
I would definately watch that game.
