If Brady had that ~ 50 second drive back and redid it 20 times, with 2 timeouts, how many times would he score a touchdown? 1? 10?

I'm not sure why, but that final play is what bothers me almost more than any other play. It's totally unfair to blame Brady on the loss, but if he had made the touchdown it would have truly been the most miraculous ending in history...

I just wonder how much sleep Brady's going to lose over that drive and result.

The 'knock' on Brady going into the game was that he'd never completed a '2 minute TD drive' and had relied on FGs to win. Well, in this game Manning scored the TD, and Brady threw the pick.

It sucks. I'd like to think that if given another chance that Brady would see Heath underneath for the first and clock stoppage 8 times out of 10. He didn't though, and ended the game on a pick.

Bad news: Brady is human afterall.

I had a bad feeling throughout that drive even when Evans and Watson caught their passes. We already blew the game and karma wasn't going to let us take it back.

As for Brady... Having more confidence in your receivers would help. Some say Brady is still injured too. (When will he ever heal?)

Huh? I've seen Brady lead touchdown drives from behind with under two minutes to play. I can think of a few times when he did this.

I'd say 1 out of 20 times results in a TD. I knew when Addai went in that the game was over.

I'd like to think that if given another chance Brady would see a better supporting cast around him and a fan base who got it. There was no way this crew was going to allow him to score a touchdown in less than a minute, and that was the only option left available. On some level he knew, BB knew it, the players knew it but some here still don't grasp it.

Manning ended the game on the TD. Watch BB's face on the replay and it is clear he knew it. There is no quit in Tom but he can't always be expected to make it right for a team tenuously constructed with chewing gum and string.

To answer your question probably 25%.

Getting down the field is not the problem getting into the end zone would be.

But that is not wher the game was lost...

I'm just quoting what the media was saying about Brady's heroics in the playoffs. I'm assuming they weren't counting his regular season comebacks.

I know the reality of it..

But I also know that I still expected something more than a pick to end the game. Brady's always had the magic, I just thought he'd be able to at least set us up with a chance, even if the chance fell short.

    Ah well.

    We're just spoiled, I think.

I bet you BRADY thinks he could have done it, too. I bet you this will eat at him for a while, like last year's pick to Champ Bailey did.

Well, the argument makes no sense.

If a field goal wins the game, why would you risk trying to get a touchdown? I just don't get it.

Brady has been missing open receivers (bad throws or not seeing them) all postseason and he's a big reason this game was lost. Throwing a pick when a player is wide open is not something a "clutch" "best QB in the league" does. Manning clearly demonstrated what has been apparent for quite some\time - he's the better QB. The ONE good thing about the Colts winning is that we will no longer have to hear about Brady being better because he "has the rings". Worse thing about Brady is that he has deteriorated...he's forcing balls to covered receivers, ignoring his short options and staring down his intended targets. It's very frustrating and cannot be blamed on "no receivers". Hopefully he gets that fixed for next season.

Manning played one good half of football this postseason. He will lose the SB.

Unfortunately that drive was doomed once the KR went to about the 20. We needed to get near the 40. With the time left, etc, it wasn't gonna happen from the 20 unless we'd had a few really bad tackles.

Quoting the media is a mistake.

My guess: 2 out of 20 times. There's a huge difference between starting a drive with 54 seconds left and, say, 1:40. The game was lost when we didn't get a first down on the previous drive.
