I think Kenyatta Jones was the first pick of the second day. (And if he wasn't, then he was close, or else GRR was. :D )

BB also traded up for Klecko, but not to the tippy-top of the day.

Am I forgetting anybody? It feels as if he's done it more often than that, figuring out who he wants most from who's left on the board and going and getting him.

IIRC he traded around till he got the 1st pick of day 2 (which was rd 4 then) and picked Asante Samuel.

Just last year, as part of trading down and selecting Mayo, the Pats also moved up from the 5th (#164) to the 3rd (#78), selecting Shawn Crable.

Related to that trade, the Pats received an '07 4th rounder (#110) along with that '08 #7 in exchange for their '07 #28.

In 2005 the Pats traded a 5th (#145) and 6th (#206) to the Lions to move up to the 4th in 2006 (#106 - Garrett Mills)

Also in 2005 the Pats traded a 2nd (#64) to the Ravens for a 3rd (#84 - Ellis Hobbs), a 6th (#195) and an '06 3rd (#75)
