League wide there seem to be more injuries than any season in recent memory. I'm not talking about the little dings that knock a guy out for a couple series, but the ones that cost players games or even the season. What gives?

It really is a violent game. I see so many helmet to helmets that go unchecked. Sometimes, it's a guys own teammate that delivers the hit. I think the goal is to knock someone out, seriously. These guys aren't looking for a 1-2 punch, they are looking for knock-outs. I surprised more don't get injured.

Part of the problem is Peyton Manning wearing an illegally oversized helmet and getting away with it.

Yes, he is causing a lot of damage to the opposition with that big mellon. His helmet and Marvin's facemask should both be outlawed!
