Everyone said safety was the deepest position, but in actuality, it looks like on defense it is the the DL. 8 guys.

I'll bet at some point, whether Pass comes back, or we sign somebody, that DL loses one of those guys.

Well I have to say that some team will find value in Klecko, probably in a team that features DE/LB shooting the gaps rather than controlling them...

Surprises are Mruczkowski, Hill amd LeKevin Smith. Not at all surprised by Klecko getting cut or Wesley Britt making the team.

In Hill's case, there are not many players of his size available and he is still very young (came out early as a 20 yo). Britt was ranked as 2nd round player before his senior year at Alabama. His injury dropped him. The Pats subscribe to the theory that a OT can play OG but an OG can't play OLT. Britt can.

Guss Scott is gone.

We have 4 safties: Rodney Harrison, E. Wilson, James Sanders and Hawkins.

i hope this means we feel good bout rodneys health

dont forget andrews, gay and chad scott could all play safety

The depth chart on OL is really good.

At LB it is like so

ILB: Bruschi, Vrabel, Seau, Alexander
OLB: Colvin, TBC, Woods (Vrabel)

ST: Izzo, Don Davis

We might be looking for a LB.

Stevenson, Mays and Yates to the practice squad, maybe? Not too many suprises on that cut list, though it's a shame Guss Scott didn't pan out. Had some nice moments, but injuries really put him behind the 8 ball. Chad Scott is both CB and safety depth, so I think we're good in the secondary as far as that is concerned.

We look very thin at OLB; expect Vrabel to rotate there often. Picking up a LB is also likely.

I'm surprised that Pierre Woods got on there, because I know nothing about the guy. It's good to see UDFAs getting a shot though. 2 QBs makes some sense on the grounds that if you're down to your third QB, you aren't about to win the Superbowl. I like Evans at RB, as he adds real power to the backfield.
Oh, and if anyone can work out what is going to happen with the Branch situation, can they tell me? I'm very confused by it all.
