I can tell you that out here in Minny-- once the Vikes traded for Jared Allen, everyone started wearing the purple-colored glasses, especially the yak-yak's on KFAN radio.

Now come on.... those "yak-yak's" you are refering to are good for an laugh or two. You can't deny that. ;)

They seem to look past the fact that they've still got T-Jack as their QB, or at best, the rest of their team will be good enough to overcome the QB talent.

Keep in mind however that for all purposes this last season was T-Jack's rookie year. Obviously he's going to make progress to become an better QB in the league if he wants to drive the Vikings into the playoff team that they can be. We'll see.

That said, I would say that the Vikes D is going to be scary good. And if AP runs as well as he did last year, they could go deep into the NFC Playoffs. But win against the AFC elites, they will not.

Exactly. The pieces are there for the Vikings to be an exciting team on the NFC side this upcoming season. The real test will be when the Vikes face the Colts. If the Vikings can win that's an major victory especially compared to the Vikings team lead by Brad Johnson that got murdered by the Patriots a few years ago on MNF. Even then I wouldn't go as far as to say the Vikes would win the Super Bowl.

Then again.... stranger things have happened......... such as an 5-11 team one year winning the SB the next. :rocker:

He's become a little less selective with his wine choices too.

and I think your smoking what Dr. Z is lol

Nah, just making an out there pick, so if I am right everyone thinks I am a genius. See Wilbon, Michael.

And, why not? The Raiders problem lately has been offense. As long as McFadden doens't break those chicken legs, this should be a solid offense.
