    Chad Jackson-WR- Patriots Feb. 21 - 8:56 pm et

Chad Jackson reportedly suffered an injury during the AFC Championship that could limit him into the summer.

There were some rumors about an Achilles injury, but Jackson isn't in danger of missing next season. NBCSports.com's Tom Curran says Jackson will "probably be limited in passing camps and offseason reps," which won't help him make a second-year leap after a disappointing rookie year.

    Just draft Dwayne Bowe now.

that's my fear with young CJ, missing off-season reps and TC.

I think they need to go to plan B and I wouldn't be upset if they drafted a wr in the first two rounds.

    Not confirmed.

Through someone on here, a Boston media member said that it was already known that Jackson suffered an injury in the Colts game, but that it wasn't as serious as a torn ACL.

Curran basically reiterated the same thing.

What do you want me to say? Thank you for breaking this new and intriguing story?

Don't use a misleading title like "Chad Jackson reportedly suffered an injury" like it's new news. Maybe a "Curran confirms Jackson injury" would have been better. ;)

    Jackson dinged
A disappointing rookie season for New England Patriots wideout Chad Jackson was punctuated by an injury in the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts. Murmurs and internet musings abounded that Jackson, the Patriots second round pick out of Florida last April, ripped his Achilles' tendon and would miss the 2007 season. Word is that he did indeed hurt himself during the Pats' loss to the Colts but -- even though the exact injury isn’t known -- the dire predictions of him missing next season are off the mark. With teams into their off-season and Patriots players mostly under wraps (ahem), it may not be known until early June’s minicamp whether Jackson is indeed in serious disrepair.

Except he said "You do realize that Jackson is probably out for the '07 season with an injury, right?" and Curren said "Jackson isn't in danger of missing next season".

That doesn't qualify as being right.

Missing the season. Not missing the season. Opposites. Not close.

He was right that he suffered a semi major injury. Other than that he was . . . wrong.

^no 1 knew anything about it..yet he comes out with it 5 days before any media

he said achilles or knee: it was achilles
he said CJ was hurt: indeed he is
he said probably miss all season: well we dont know anything yet..nothings guranteed that he misses who season or off season workouts or if its career threating.

    nothing is known really

i don't think you can rely on CJ at this point. i say draft another wr and whatever cj gives is extra.

WR was a draft need before we knew about this injury. And it still is, not much has changed.

He's a first year WR in an offense that isn't easy to pick up. How can you say that after one year in the league he's junk? I'm not saying he's destined for stardom or anything, but if you look at what we know he should pan out to be a decent player. With your modus operandi what's the point of drafting players? We should just trade all our picks.

    Thanks all!
