Ed Hartwell,
Peter Sirmon,
Rocky Boiman and
Isaiah Kacyvenski.
Safety:
Shaun Williams and
Robert Griffith.
Are any of these players worth a look? or do we see how the draft stacks up and go from there?

Yes, I have little else to do than reply to my own posts.

Gardner too.You forgot Junior Seau. Him, as well as Hartwell and Sirmon are all worth a look.
The list is shrinking, yet nobody, save Adalius Thomas almost one month ago, has been signed to help a defense that allowed 32 points in the last half of football it played.
Sort of frustrating isn't it?

You seriously don't think the Patriots have done enough in free agency?

They've done great. I just don't think that they've done enough to improve the defense that's all. We NEED DEPTH on D, IMO. Our lack of depth on defense was greatly exposed by the Colts. If Seymour and Warren need a breather, who comes in for them? Green and Wright are good players, but we need one more reliable DL, IMHO. Marquis Hill is a waste of a roster spot. He has done Nothing in the 3 years that he's been on the team. Does he even help out on special teams? Le Keven Smith is a work in progress. A back up at Nose Tackle woudn't hurt either. Again, Green and Hill are OK, but we could use another big man to man the middle when Wilfork takes a breather. Inside Linebacker still concerns me greatly. Yes we could fill that need in the draft but I don't feel comfortable relying on a rooky to back up or start Bruschi and/Vrabel. Our defensive scheme is complicated enough for veterans, how much harder will it be for a rooky?
By the way, who is going to line up with Bruschi at ILB. Most people expect Vrabel to go back outside. If that's the case, who plays inside, Thomas? I'd rather keep him outside. I just have depth worries that's all. I like our starters but I worry about who we have behind them on the depth chart.
The best place to go for this is the draft. Free agency is useful for adding a few players here and there but using it to build teams is a dangerous thing.
I've been tied up, but I wanted to clear something up. BPF does not mean Bradford Pats Fan and we are not one in the same. Purely a coincidence. I don't know much about Bradford but I'm betting Eastern and Southeastern Haverhill is better than Raleigh, NC.
As someone who spent most of my life where YOU live, I can tell you that Haverhill or any other part of Massachusetts is decidely NOT better than Raleigh or North Carolina. But don't tell anyone - they'll all want to move here and then it will be all crowded with traffic and overpriced run down old real estate like it is up there. BTW, has it stopped snowing yet?I've been tied up, but I wanted to clear something up. BPF does not mean Bradford Pats Fan and we are not one in the same. Purely a coincidence.
