Arrington? What do you think?

I am not a fan of his but he seemed to handle his situation in DC decently. The knock on him in DC was that he free lanced to much, so Greg Williams wouldn't play him. Not sure if I would like the signing or not, just curious what you guys thought. It definitly would be a headline grabber and his camp has been awfully quite thus far.

If I'm not mistaken, he plays outside. That would mean keeping Vrabel inside.
I'm not sure if that's the way I'd go. If Arrington could play inside I'd be more interested. Something to think about though. Of course, Colvin and Arington on the outside, with Vrabel and Bruschi inside does'nt sound bad.

I believe Arrington is not maligned b/c of his attitude, but more because of the fact that he "freelances" a lot, which leaves a lot of his teammates out to dry. Not a good way to run a "scheme based" defense.

I am so sick of hearing this. Have you ever even seen him play a full game??? This argument comes from one writer who blew a coach's comment out of proportion. After watching this guy every week for four years while living in Skins land this is a bunch of crap. Ask any Skins fan how this guy plays each week when healthy. He is a beast. One poor comment and the media makes a huge label, just stupid. Be original and post what you know about a player, not take an opinion just because you read an article.

Well apparently watching almost EVERY game each week on directTV and seeing what they were talking about makes me unoriginal.

No doubt the guy is a beast, but he is a beast who does his own thing. Sorry. I don't think he would fit.

Don't think that BB would shy away from a freelancer. If that freelancer had incredible abilities, and could change the game instantly, then BB would unleash him. That's all Arrington needs.

How do I know BB could live with this: well, Lawrence Taylor wasn't exactly the most disciplined LB out there. He was a holy terror, and Arrington plays the same way.

Wow truth hurts. I love Monday morning QB's who know nothing of what they speak. I love it when data cannot be given to back up opinions. I love it when people take their ball and go home just because they cannot meet reality and logically work through their opinion. I am not saying I am always right, however bring some facts to the table instead getting your grove from the media.

Great point Upstater. I went to many PSU games when Lavar was there.
I've followed his career closely. He's a good guy not a publicity hound.
A friend of mine coached his brother's basketball team. Lavar caused
too big a stir when he went to the games. People would hound him for
autographs throughout the game. He just asked my friend if he would
give him the game tape so he could watch it. Very good family too.
Father was Vietnam Vet who was wounded and has always had
trouble walking since. Mom is an educator. He plays with a huge amount
of brashness. But, that's it. Stays on the field.

I've always wondered why Lavar was never told "sic em". The LT
comparision is good. LT didn't worry about dropping into the flat and
covering a te or a fb. PSU didn't do it. Lined him up on the same side
of the field as Courtney Brown. I love Jerry Sandusky. But, that was
the dumbest thing I've ever seen. He's been in a 4-3 in the pros. Where
the olb does have more responsiblities than the elephant position in a
3-4. He's never had that role in the NFL either. Line him up outside of
our de's and point him at the damn qb! Let the offensive coordinator
worry about him. Not worry about covering the flat. Sorry for rant.
