It'll be interesting how many of these players stick around for the better part of TC later on... with 12 picks + a few free agents + projected vets, I can't help but wonder if a few of those 12 picks are just being groomed for jobs in Cleveland and Denver (not intentionally, BB, don't get pissy).

    best part of that article:

–Patrick Chung continued to stand out. His energy is unmistakable. He had a nice pass breakup in coverage. He runs all over the field. I just can’t wait to see him with pads on because I think he’s a guy who will look even better in pads.

Sounds like Coach O'Brian could use a tranquilizer or at least cut down on the caffeine

Coach Scarnecchia must really see something raw and good in Porter to go the extra mile with him after practice...hope he gets a handle on the basics very soon.

I know this is extremely early or premature, but I really think Chung has an excellent chance of getting lots of playing time because of his high energy. His hitting ability alone will find a role on the field.

I'm not feeling too good about this McKenzie thing, worried it could be a ligament; I guess we'll see - but Chung and Butler are sounding excellent, Reiss was impressed with Butler (as seen on his blog).

San Diego State WR, I guess he's caught a few Kevin O'Connell passes in his time.

Re: Andy Hart Reaction to Saturday Morning practice

I continue to believe Chung can fly, shed blockers from 10 yards away by holding his hand palm out in their general direction, and has a deadly neurotoxin in his saliva. Among other things. He is also the reason the Dalai Lama stayed his a z z over in the stadium and didn't venture onto the practice field. Just the guy's last name scares the Dalai Lama. On another note I sincerely hope for Appleby's success, because he would just go with Mayo. I'd also like Edelman to make the team, but then I wanted Cliff Kingsbury to make it too. The evening recap "didn't fall down on his own nearly as often" sounded like some pretty faint praise for my favorite utility mensch.

I also don't have good feeling about the Mckenzie situation but am hoping for the best as i think he's a good kid who i think will play some quality ball for us in the future. I also like the reports on Chung coming out thus far. My binky was Louis Delmas so i personally will be keeping an eye on them both and comparing throughout the 09-10 season. (Quiet as kept i think if detroit hadn't picked Delmas then Chung would not be a patriot right now IMO)
