AFC East: Most total wins in the AFC

Could it be that we have the easier schedule so far?

Just a question, not trying to be negative here.

The AFC East has played the easiest non divisional schedule thus far.

Here are the non divisional opponents played so far winning percentages by division.

AFC North: 17-8 (68%)
AFC West: 22-15 (59%)
AFC South: 11-13 (46%)
AFC East: 12-23 (34%)

One quarter through the season and our AFC East has the most total wins (11) in the entire conference.

Also, it is the only division in the entire NFL that does not have a team with a losing record.

Pretty neat.
If the season had ended after week 5, Miami would be the 6th seed in the play-offs.

Even with two losses and the division leader on their bye week, the AFC East still has the most total wins in the conference.

However we are now tied with the AFC South, having 12 wins each.

Although we no longer have alll teams without a losing record, the AFC East is the only division in the conference who's last place team has more than one win.

The NFC East and South divisions are tied for most total wins in the entire league, with 15 wins each.

And two of those losses came against what I think is a pretty good Arizona squad. 9 or 10 wins isn't out of the question for them with that offense. Love to see Larry Fitzgerald in a Pats uniform some day.

i would trade randy moss straight up for braylon edwards. think braylon is better than fitzgerald too but that's just me.

Let's take the divisional games out, and see what happens:

AFC East: 8-3
AFC North: 2-6
AFC South: 4-4
AFC West: 3-6

AFC Beast indeed. :D

nice stats

that's a great way to approach it.

Now halfway through the season, and the AFC East still has the most total wins (17) in the entire conference.

AFC Division Wins

AFC East: 17
AFC South: 16
AFC North: 11
AFC West: 9

*AFC South will have 16 wins after either the Colts or Titans win Monday night, baring a tie.

Right now the Patriots would be the third overall seed in the AFC while the Bills would be the first Wild Card berth.
