Aaron Hernandez found guilty of first-degree murder

This won't be overturned , the judge (Garsh) went out her way to make it appeal proof.

Enjoy life in prison you psychopath POS.

I'm shocked! SHOCKED I SAY!

Shocked that it took 7 days to come to a guilty verdict.

Usually because some moron gets befuddled by reasonable doubt

And this was the murder trial where there was less evidence. The sad thing is that there will be little justice for Hernandez other two victims since Hernandez can't get a worse sentence than he will get for this murder. Sure he will likely be found guilty, but he will not serve anymore time or get any harsher of penalty in any way.

@BrandonSpikes51: IM CONFUSED ABOUT THE JUSTICE SYSTEM THESE DAYS !!!

Cap relief comes if they can recoup some of the signing bonus they paid; the big question is if he gets convicted of the other murders, because then he would have been in breach of his contract on the day he signed it.

My understanding was they just had to win the civil judgement that Hernandez was in breech and not actually get the funds back. If the judge finds for the patsand order hernadez to pay, regardless of whether he still has the ability to pay, the pats are still in place to get a "refund adjustment"

This is a good win for the guys who think that the legal system favors the rich. his million dollar lawyer will be the one playing golf and not him

I hear they like tight ends in prison.

If he didn't actually pull the trigger he tried to cover everything up and I have no doubt he was in on it.
Maybe he was too drunk and didn't think it thru and it got out out of control fast.
He still should of break the ties with those friends and reported it immediately .
Distance himself from it, try to make ammends.
Instead he broke his security system, smashed his phone, lied to the police, hid the murder weapon, tried to pay for his friends flight out of dodge.
No even if he never touched the gun he is just as guilty.

LOL at too many here who said he'd get off.
It was a rare slam dunk.
Too many folks watch too much TV. People are convicted on far less actual evidence than the mountain of evidence surrounding the serial killer.
Almost every conviction is based on "circumstantial" evidence, not witnesses.
Agreed. And kudos to that jury for having balls.

Sad day for the Patriots and the NFL ..... but good day for justice and Odin Lloyd's family. Hope they get the cloture that they need
Not a sad day for the Patriots. He was an ex-Patriot the minute he was arrested. I don't feel sad for him, I feel ashamed for the moron.

So I guess this means the Pats have to look for another TE in the draft.

"Mean Machine, Mean Machine....."

I wonder if they are going to put a statue of him in front of Gillette?

OK, that's all I got, had to get them out of the way. Great job by the prosecution, anytime you can get a First degree murder conviction with no gun and no witnesses, the prosecution really did its homework.

He called them up to come help him kill Lloyd, he was behind it from the start.

Indeed, impressive work.

I would guess the debate was over premeditation because the prosecution weren't allowed to introduce the motive.

Which is incredible that Aaron was that lost.
Wouldn't be shocked Hernandez family blamed this on concussions and sued the NFL.

Spot on.
The judge would not allow the prosecution to say that AH was the ringleader, wanting Lloyd dead because he feared that Lloyd was running off his mouth about the 2 prior slayings. This left jury members, even if they knew, unable to debate and consider that motive. That's why the decision took as long; it "seemed" to be a motive less killing of a harmless guy dating AH's finance's sister.

Would be complete BS but it wouldn't shock me.
